I am the same way. Your blood sugar is low. Do you have to eat something sweet because you get shaky light headed? That is what happens to me. I think it is because of the low carb diet and the met. My doctor is having me check my blood sugar twice a day. I was told by Christy, she is a great soul cycter, that if you have to eat something sweet to get your blood sugar back up to eat fruit or fruit juice or a piece of bread. Stay away from chocolate and sweets like that. Hope this helps!

Karen: Met usually isn't totally in your blood stream in 30 mins..takes up to about 2 hours. But it sounds like you might be struggling with hypoglycemia. Do you take your Met with a meal or some kind of food? If you do, you shouldn't have too much of a problem sugar wise.

Marty (Thanks for the sweet words):

The reason for that is that if you get low blood sugar and eat something totally sugary like a choc bar, you will spike your insulin. That will lower your blood sugar again and you'll be back where you started. It can be a very nasty cycle that goes on all day if you don't nip it in the bud. Glad I can help.
