Karen: Met usually isn't totally in your blood stream in 30 mins..takes up to about 2 hours. But it sounds like you might be struggling with hypoglycemia. Do you take your Met with a meal or some kind of food? If you do, you shouldn't have too much of a problem sugar wise.

The reason for that is that if you get low blood sugar and eat something totally sugary like a choc bar, you will spike your insulin. That will lower your blood sugar again and you'll be back where you started. It can be a very nasty cycle that goes on all day if you don't nip it in the bud. Glad I can help.
