Sydney Drs & Endos

I have been to see Dr Warren Kidson at Randwick and Hornsby. He diagnosed me with IR and put me on Metformin and also prescribed Aldactone for hirsutism. I haven't been back to see him for two years as I also dabbled with natural therapies. He doesn't recommend the pill as he says this increases IR.

I also went to see Claudette Wadsworth in the city. She put me on Vitex and also made some herbs up for me. Vitex definitely works, my cycles were regular and on time. However, I have gone back to the pill, as I was breaking out with pimples.

As far as Drs and Endocrinologists go, I only know of Dr Kidson who specialises in PCOS.

My doctor referred me to Prof John Eden and I go next week.

Apparently he is an expert in hormones/PCOS. I am already on metformin, but am hoping he can give me some more expert opinions on the best treatment.

I'll let you know what he's like. He's got rooms in Randwick and Hurstville.

Please let me know how you go. I am not overweight but have a problem with unwanted hair. It would be great if he could correct my hormone imbalance.
