Default Symptom: thinning scalp hair

I haven't been formally diagnosed with PCOS yet; but, my doc is pretty sure that is what is "wrong" with me. Although I suffer from acne and weight gain, one of my most upsetting symptoms is thinning scalp hair. I am wondering, for those people who have the same symptom: where is the hair thinning? Is there a certain pattern of thinning that is indicative of PCOS? Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Mine happens to be dead center, and the crown in the back of my head the most.. then the rest is all over but not as much. Each shower I take I loose a handful of hair and it's my most troubling problem too. I am learning ways of hiding it though and next doctor appointment I will be asking what I can do for it.

A lot of times women first notice the thinning at her part, but really, hair loss caused by PCOS can happen anywhere on the scalp. Generally it's the top and sides that are affected, but in later-stage AGA, some of us women experience hair loss all over the scalp.

My hair lost occurs at the top of my head/center but I've been noticing lately that my hair just refuses to grow past my ears in the last few years.

I have diffuse thinning but it's the worst on top at the part area. I've lost half my hair but I had a LOT to start with. This is definitely the worst symptom of PCOS.
