Default Symptoms but not dx'ed...

As far as I know tests as far as my thyroid have come back normal but I've never been given numbers, but I dont think they've ever ran extensive tests on it just TSH or whatever they run during the hormone workup when i was diagnosed with PCOS. Recently I went to an RE and she sent me for lab work and did a TSH test as well but ive not heard anything back (it's only been since thursday when i had the work done though) and I don't have a follow up with her because she didn't mention needing to see me again til we're ready to have babies or whatever.
Anyways I have some very obvious signs of hypothyroidism like.. Weight gain (and the inability to lose it), constant bloating, constant dry skin, puffy face, joint and muscle pain (which ive always blamed on my job) and my hands and feet are always cold.
If my levels do come back normal what can I do?? Is there something natural I can take that may help maybe ? I've heard people say their levels came back on the low side of normal and so a diagnosis wasn't made.. I just need some relief. I just wanna be able to get this weight off !

I was diagnosised in Sept. 2003, and at that time my TSH was normal. It was checked again in Feb. 2006 and they decided that I did have hypothyroid. I'm actually having my levels checked again today to see if my dose is effective. 1.49 is a good number, but you might need to be checked again. As a side note, I have my drs. fax me a copy of all tests/lab results. This way I personally know my info.

It would be nice to have the number. Some dr.s guidelines of normal are different from others, I believe this is mentioned in a sticky on this forum. My current dose of medicine is so low I can't tell a difference in energy, ect, although my dr. is not surprised since we caught it really early. I will find out how well the meds. have been working on Wednesday. I hope you are able to get more info and/or find out if maybe something else is up!
