I have been on 500mg of met per day since September of 2006 and alot of the symptoms had gone away for example my hair falling out, the dark skin patch on the back of my neck and I was losing weight.
Now, the dark patch on the back of my neck seems to be coming back, my hair has been falling out again (not as bad as before but its falling out), and I can't lose anymore weight no matter how hard I try. My dr does not want to up my met .....for what reason I don't know.
I have an appointment with an endo in July, and I am hoping that maybe he will up my met.
Has this happened to anyone else...The symptoms returning??? If so what did you do and how did you deal with it.
My symptoms go in cycles, even on the Met. I have another appointment with my doc this summer, but I'm sure my symptoms will problably change again before then.

Yes, our symptoms can go in cycles sometimes. I have found over the years that there are times when weight loss is very easy for me, other times when it's nearly impossible, even on the same diet. Some cysters find that stress can multiply their symptoms, but mine seem to just go in cycles with not much rhyme or reason.
