Default T zone? Tush acne? TMI.....

I just started noticing that my forehead is starting to break out big time, and the area around my nose is very oily. I haven't had problems with acne since was in high school, and am wondering if this is typical in PCOS?

Also, although I am a scrupulously clean person, I keep getting a rash that looks like pimples on my tush. Sometimes they spread to my lower legs. Sorry if TMI, but nothing I do gets rid of them and I'm getting frustrated.

Thanx

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but acne, including cystic acne, is a common symptom of PCOS. Treatment depends on how bad yours is, and how much you're willing to do, ranging from OTC topicals to something like accutane.

Some people (myself included) have clearer skin on BCP. I'm not sure if Met tends to help or not.

Acne is not about being dirty (despite what some mean kids said in high school) but about hormonal problems.

So, what I do, is wash with citrus based body wash in the mornings, clean my skin at night with a gentle witch hazel based cleansor at night, and use a sea salt based body scrub about once a week (that helps with the dreaded acne on my rear end.)
