Has anyone tried Tai Chi as a relaxation method? Do you like it?

I'm thinking about getting into it.

My DH has tried it a few times (his Mom has a tape) but the next morning he was so sore - he wouldn't do it for a while. It does seem relaxing though - if you get into it slowly. I think he just tired too much at once.
