I havent had af for about 18 month..i was wondering has anyone taken chlomid without having af?

Clomid is meant to stimulate ovulation. If you ovulate on it, you will get AF. Unfortunately many people don't ovulate on it, and they either need a different dose, or a different drug. There are many people who are Clomid resistant. Clomid is not used to regulate AF. It's meant to stimulate ovulation in order to get pregnant (at least that's how I used it). Hope that helps! By the way, if you are just trying to stimulate AF, the doc would likely give you Progesterone (Prometrium or Provera). You do a round of about 5-10 days of pills, and then you usually get AF. Have you talked to your doc?

thanks marji..thats made me understand better..i think i worded my message wrong..i thought you had to take chlomid on the last day of af,but now i understand better..

ps.. yes i would love to get pregnant! i understand that thats what chlomid is used for.
