Hi, I'm new here and have a question for you all. I have PCOS (obviously) and I'm currently doing IVF. I used metformin when I was going through my cycle for EPU and this really helped my egg development. I still had to be postponed due to OHSS risk being high as I had 28 eggs. But.......

Now I've been doing FET cycles. My first FET was a straight out -ve, my second was a chemical pg or early MC, FET #3 was +ve!!!!! But..... I miscarried at 6 weeks

I've done some reading and seen that PCOS women have higher MC rate than others and metfromin can help prevent MC!!! My FS isn't 100% convinced but said I can try it if I want to.

So I thought I'd ask others who've got the same problem, has metformin helped you maintain a pg?? Would you recommend it??

My doctor has talked to me about the possibility of starting Metformin.

I have read about it for several years, and I believe soon I will take the plunge.

As for your situation, I cannot comment, as I have not experienced what you have. Do your own research and talk to your doctor about what you have found. See if he or she has any oppositions or any advice for you in making your decision.

I tried metformin before getting pregnant and had a MC.. so personally I would never take it again.
