Taking Anti-Depressants while TTC or while Pregnant Question
Okay I am looking for some help and advice about taking ant-depressants while pregnant. I was diagnosed as having depression and Borderline Personality Disorder in January 2007 while DH and I were TTC. Well we put our plans on hold for awhile because it wasn't working out and I needed treatment. My doctor had me on a LOT of med's. Seroquel, Zoloft, Rivotril and Immovane. The drugs seemed to help, but made me extremely drowsy. In April of that same year I discovered I was pregnant. So I quit everything cold turkey for the sake of the baby since I was considered high risk from high BP, Endo and PCOS. After my son was born in January of 2008, my family doctor put me back on Zoloft and then switched me to Cymbalta instead since my symptoms were back and I had developed slight post-partum. Well, now DH and I are TTC #2 and my OBGYN wants me to check with my family doctor on coming off or switching all my meds that may be harmful to the baby IF I get pregnant while TTC.
So my question is, has anyone taken any anti-depressants during their pregnancy and if so what would you reccomend, or what is suggested by doctor's as being "safe" or "safer than others" while pregnant? I don't want to come off of anything until I know for sure I am pregnant, but want to make sure what I am taking is safe if I get pregnant because my cycles are so irregular it's hard to tell when I am pregnant. I was almost 2 months before I found out with DS. TIA!

I just wanted to say be careful if you take Zofran for nausea while pg...it blocks serotonin production and I went from "bleah-blah" to actually wanting to cry all day and cut myself. Went away after the Zofran wore off, but NOT worth it!
