I remember reading a recent post from someone who said their doctor sometimes uses Gluophage & Avandia together and he's had great success with it. Now I can't find that post! I'd like to know what doses of each med that he starts with. I was on Avandia (8 mg.) previously and was ovulating but had fluid retention. Now I'm on Glucophage and not ovulating. Since we're ttc, I'm a little frustrated. I would like to approach my doctor about trying a lower dose of Avandia (which didn't cause fluid retention) along with the Glucophage.

avandia isnt safe for it you get PG. Its not a class B drug so often times dr.s wont give it to women who are ttc. I have heard it does work to lower insulin and get your body in oder while in conjuntion with met. Good luck!

I think it was me...

I was on 1500mg Gluc and 4mg(half tab)Avandia.
I didn't continue with it because the weight gain.(avandia)
