I take Levothyroxin....pretty much the same as Synthroid. When I was recently diagnosed with anemia and started taking three iron pills a day, I was told not to take them at the same time. I take my Levo first thing in the morning and then do noon, six PM and nine PM for the iron.

Get involved in animal rescue. You won't be sorry. Your heart may break, there may be times when your eyes are red-rimmed for days. You may lose faith in the goodness of people, but your spirit will be renewed by the resilience of those you save. It isn't easy, but it's worth it. I promise you, you will be forever changed.
My pharmacist said that Synthroid (and generic version) should always be taken by itself. So I don't take any chances and always wait the 4 hrs. before taking any other meds.
The biggest things to not mix with your thyroid supplement is calcium and Vitamin C (so it's easiest/most convenient to simply stay away from all vitamins). If you take your thyroid in the morning, try to avoid having milk/dairy for breakfast.
The regime I do is as follows: 2/3 of my prescribed dosage of Thyroid (Armour) and fish oil supplement when I wake up (6am). Multivitamin, calcium supplement, B complex, Vitamin D with lunch (11am). Remaining 1/3 of Thyroid on the way home from work (5pm).
Seems to work the best for me, and my doctor approves.

I've had a system that works wonderful for me but since I'm having to add in another prescription, I'm having to rework my schedule. Now, I take my Metformin XR and vitamins at night before I go to bed then I take Synthroid when I wake up, wait 30 minutes then eat.
The new med, Aldomet, needs to be taken every 8 hours so I didn't know if I could just take it when I took Met around midnight and then again when I took Synthroid at 8am.
Thanks for your input!
