Hi .. my doctor is starting me of Tamoxifen instead of Clomid b.c of the side effects. Has anyone else been put on Tamoxifen. Any side effects or positive results? Thanks

Hi! I actually did not respond well to Clomid so I tried Tamoxifen. It worked very well as far as making me O early, but still no BFP . So this month I am trying Femara. Good luck, I hope it brings you your BFP!!
I did a round of tamoxifen back when I was TTC. I didn't want to try clomid again because it made me so moody. I didn't have any side effects from the tamoxifen and was generally happier on it. Unfortunately, I didnt get pregnant on that cycle but several months later it happened on a rest cycle.

I have been prescribed tamoxifen CD2 -6 for the next 3 cycleand am waiting on AF to start. I was given this as I have had thin lining issues in th epast and my gyn says tamox doesn't casue this prob and is generally good for PCOSers along with met. When will you be starting yours?

I did 2 cycles of Tamoxifen along with Clomid 100mg. I was to do 3 cycles but the mood swings were too much. My Dr. said it would be stronger and better chances. I will probably try again in the fall. I wish you lotsa luck. babydust to all!!!

I did 2 rounds of Tamoxifen and got a BFP on the 2nd round. My miracle baby is now 7.
When I started ttc again about 2 years ago I was put on Clomid, but I TOTALLY flipped out on it.
I'm starting back on the Tamoxifen today. 20mg a day for days 2-11. Fingers crossed!!
