Hi Nicky- I know Dr Goodman.. I saw her for TTC the 1st time around. My experience with her was a NIGHTMARE, to the point that we left that RE practice and will not return there. We were treated horribly by the office staff, made to pay for hundreds of dollars in lab tests that could have been done for free at LabCorp (but they ran them in-office and charged us for them). I had to have a polyp removed from my cervix and she told me it would painless, no big deal, blah blah blah.. well, I ended up almost passing out and did vomit from the pain. My OB told me later that she would NEVER do this procedure without any pain meds! That procedure led to an infection that I am SURE led to my missed miscarriage.
To top it all off, when we went for our 1st u/s and found no heartbeat, Dr Goodman's comment to me was "well, sometimes progesterone keeps something around that nature didn't intend". She was referring to my baby. My DH actually passed out and had to be put on the u/s table to get him awake because he was so shocked by her rude and uncaring treatment of us.
Needless to say, I would NOT reccomend her as a Dr for anything at all. I complained to my OB's office who apologized profusely for ever referring me there.
My OBGYN can treat PCOS, especially if you're not TTC. Her name is Dr Sylvia Bevilaqua and she is awesome. She's with the Women's Group.. Dr Bevilaqua is only working out of their office on MLK and I go to the Tampa Palms office, so I'm not seeing her right now but I miss her! She rocks.
Hope this helps!!!
