Talking Tangy Barbecue Sauce

This one is tangy, but very good, with no sugar or ketchup. With barbecue season here, this is the perfect thing to finish off ribs, chicken or pulled pork.

Kansas City Style Barbecue Sauce (From the Frugal Gourmet Cooks American)

1 tsp salt
3 cups beef stock
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup tomato paste
1 tbsp chili powder
3 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp sage leaves, chopped (not powdered)
1 1/2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp turmeric
3 cloves garlic, crushed

Blend everything together in a saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes.
