Default Tanning and scars

Sorry to post ANOTHER question...
I had breat surgery last year, and have recently started tanning. The scar on my right breast hasn't darkened, but the scar on my left breast (I had a full anchor lift.. incision around aerola, straight down to and under breast crease) that goes straight down had darkened around it. There's really no way for me to cover it up when I tan, and it doesn't bother me much (that area was darker to begin with) ... but does anyone know if this will stop, or get better, or if I should change what I'm doing?
