Tears at Night

We brought our baby home
With love and tender care
We had envisioned many times
Having our baby there

Little hands and little feet
Little tears at night
Singing lullabies
That she would be alright

We carried her in together
Holding hands walking slow
We brought our baby home
But little did we know

The tears at night
Belong only to us
Our little girl lays quiet
Never to make a fuss

We brought our baby home
In a little urn so unreal
We had her just one night
To hold close and to feel

Now we lay her down to rest
Among family in the ground
Just the two of us
With no one else around

Lay her down gently
Before I fall apart
Buried with love and tears
And pieces of our hearts

Our baby is at home
In our hearts and through our love
We know she is taken care of
By family up above

I'm so sorry for your loss. The poem is heart breaking. I wish there was something I could say to make you feel better, but I know there's nothing to say but we are here for you. Much (((HUGS))).
