I'm only beginning to be interested in controlling PCOS and related symptoms through diet. I drink a lot of tea (only breakfast tea and Earl Grey) and if branching out with different teas could help, then I'd like to know about it!
So, that's my question, really. Should I avoid/give up either of my usual teas? Or should I keep them up and try to introduce other teas as well? Which other teas are good? And which symptoms do they affect?
All advice gratefully recieved!

I drink red raspberry leaf tea - it's supposed to tonify the uterus. It was recommended to my by an acupuncturist. I like it because it tastes more like black tea vs. herbal. It is caffeine free.
Not sure about other teas. You may also want to ask/check the Alternative Remedies section.
Cheers for the advice. I love raspberries, so raspberry tea is sounding pretty excellent right now!
I've also seen something about ginger tea, can't remember the specifics at the moment. But I'm going shopping first thing tomorrow, so I'll be stocking up on those two for starters. We'll see how things pan out!

do ur research before u drink the raspberry. she's not talking about regular good tasting raspberry tea, it's a womans health raspberry leaf tea. see if it fits ur health needs before u drink. a good one for pcos i recommend is pau'de arco...it's helps kill the candida that causes pcos.
Btw, green tea can be purchased decaffeinated and organic, too.
Jennylala, very interested in your comment about Tulsi containing more antioxidants than green tea. Could you point me in a direction where the levels are reported? I'm having trouble finding information on this and would like to try it out!

I really, really enjoy spearmint tea! I read a while back that it may decrease excess androgens and help with facial hair, but I probably don't drink it enough. That's why I started drinking it.

Tulsi is extremely antioxident and any good aturvedic website will tell you this. It is an herbal plant mostly used in the indian subcontient. Besised being an antioxidents tulsi leaves are also used as a natural remedy against many infections and diseases. Many people also apply tulsi paste on wounds as that is said to have "purell" effect. It might sound new and exotic, but it is actually one of the oldest plants used for tea.
Definately worth a try!
