Careful with the spearmint tea! Too much is like taking too much spironolactone. I was drinking like 20 oz every other day and it acted as a diuretic and caused bloating and complete loss of sex drive. Oh and vaginal dryness. Took me about two weeks to bounce back. I still drink it but like one or two 8 oz cups a week. AND YES IT DOES HELP WITH THE FACIAL HAIR! It will grow in blonde and slow. Just be careful.

If Spearmint tea is like spironolactone? then I should not try it because I am off spironolactone as I am TTC?

True/False/Thoughts???

I was planning to start drinking this tea. Should I?

If spearmint is similar to spironolactone? Should I try it if I am off spironolactone? I stopped taking spironolactone as I am TTC.

True/False/Thoughts?

I was thinking about spearmint tea as well, but am TTC. I've done some research and as far as I can find...they don't know for sure. Recommendations are that it's fine while not pregnant, but should not have more than 1 cup a day during pregnancy (if needed...better to avoid). The reason: since it reduces androgens, it could have an affect on a male fetus. It's fine to use during pregnancy providing the baby is a girl...but since there's no way to tell early, they say everyone limit/avoid. I think I'm going to start using it at a low 'dosage' and stop if/when I get pregnant. HTH.
