Default Temps stay up on herbs?

Hi all,

After switching my vitex and dong quai to a liquid form, my temps shot up like never before (98.0-98.1) and then in 7 days dropped to 97.6 and I had my first ever af in years. Now, temps have stayed at 97.7 for the past four days (Day 2 through Day 6). This is higher than they have ever been, pre-o (used to be 97.1-97.3).

Has anyone else had this happen? Any thoughts on why this has happened? Is this too high pre-ovulation temps? I noticed in the TCOYF book, none of the charts have pre-o temps this high.

Thanks in advance,

FiFa

My pre-o temps have been higher on vitex then they normally were. It was the same when I was on clomid. Right before O though they dropped down to my "normal" 97.1. Then shot up. I've noticed with vitex my temps are more "normal" and not as low as they were before. Good luck to you.

Thanks for your response, Gaylyn. Can I ask how high are your pre-o temps on vitex? Have you been ttc? With such drastic changes in temps, I can imagine it is easier to detect o and time bd?

Good luck to you,

My highest temp pre-o on vitex was 97.5 my "normal" temps before were 96.7-97.1. I also checked cervical mucus and position this month which really helped me with detecting O. My dh unfortunately was gone during the peak days but we did bd on o day and my cervix was SHOW so maybe..........I'm 12dpo today so in two more days I'll know. Good luck to you and stick with vitex. It works wonders.
