I don't know if it's the same thing, but with my last cycle(Jan), I had the most excruciting pain in my left ovary that I have ever felt. I could not walk or put any kind of pressure on my left side. It was horrible. It lasted for 2 days, and happened to have fallen on the 2 days prior to ovulation. That cycle lasted 31 days. The cycle before that was my longest ever(at 71 days) and I hadn't ovulated since July '06. Soo, I was thinking since my prior cycle was so long and I hadn't ovulated for 6 months, that all of the stuff that was supposed to be released for that huge period of time, hit me all at once.
BUT, last night I got that same pain again and could not walk or sit, blah blah blah. I'm on day 35 and there has been absolutely no sign of ovulation, so I don't know what's up. My guess is that it's just my cysts popping. I went and had a pelvic ultrasound 1 week ago and they found nothing out of the norm, ya know, aside from all my cysts. I have the sporadic shooting/stabbing pains in my right ovary quite a bit, and although it is an awful feeling, it is nothing compared to this. Your cysts rupturing is most likely the cause of what you're feeling. It will not hurt to get it checked out, but it will probably turn up "normal". I too was convinced that it was only happening to me and I could have bet my life that I had ovarian cancer.
I don't know if that helps you out, but I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one and that, in my case, it turned out to be nothing,
Hope all goes well at your appointment. Good Luck! |
