I FINALLY got my results back from my doctor yesterday, and I'd like to run them by y'all if possible. They all came back normal, and she does not want to treat me despite any symptoms. The "In Range" values are mine and then I listed the reference values that the lab used and the notes. She did not do the thorough thyroid panel, though.
Total Testosterone was measured by LCMSMS. The LCMSMS method correlates well with our extracation/RIA method. Notice: Due to interferences of blood drawn in Serum Separator Tubes (SSTs) when using LCMSMS methodology, it is required that only serum collected from a plain Red Top Tube with no additives be submitted. Please update specimen requirements as needed. This is a general notice attached to all reports and it does not imply the result from this report is obtained from an SST tube.

I like you have not been diagnosed with PCOS but im about 95% positive that I have it. I was recently looking over my blood test results from almost a year ago. I only had a T4, TSH, FSH and LH done. I’m not sure why nothing else was run...anyways. I was looking around and I found this page. It will tell you all the 'reference ranges' but the best part of it is that every test comes with a description. Some tell you if you are on the high side or low side in one area what that may/might lean toward. It also helped me cement the idea that I most likely have PCOS. While all my blood is in the normal range my LH is twice my FSH....which I found out from that page is an indicator of PCOS. So i hope that may help you some.
Also I know that there are certain times during AF that the numbers will change, so maybe if you can refer to the timing of AF and the day the blood was taking...that may make a difference as well. Good luck!

EEEKKK i'm sorry for the 57 day cycle (those suck bad) NE way have you tried seeing an endo? Instead of the GYN. Because PCOS is an endocrine disorder Endocrinologists (sp) know more about how to treat it and how to DX it. I hope you find some help from all of our wonderful cysters.
Yeah, I have been doing some googling, and I actually found a couple doctors in my area and one claims to be a PCOS specialist on his website. If I get the chance I will definately go see him. Right now I'm going to go back to the doctor that suggested that I have PCOS and see what he thinks I should do. Hopefully he'll do something to help me.
Yeah, I'm on day 60 of this cycle now.

So really, to see if my numbers actually play a factor, I should wait until the 3rd day of my cycle and get bloodwork done on that day? This is according to the hormone website that Luvlife listed above. And even though FertilityFriend counts day 1 as the first day of your period, when do you start counting cycle days?? I had always thought that your period meant the end of your cycle, not the beginning.... but I guess that shows how much I know... haha.
Thanks!

Ok, that cycle ended up lasting 78 days! I am on my 3rd one for this year, CD20. I have had a headache every day of this cycle. The good news is, my psychiatrist insisted that I have PCOS and is sending me to an endocrinologist. I will update if anything good comes of it. Thanks for everyone's help!!!

Just so you know. I have all normal levels and I still do a DX of PCOS. The only way that I got my DX was by instisting that there is nothing else it could be. Beacuse PCOS has so many different symptons you can get a DX without having out of wack hormones. I hope that make sence. I would ask the endo if it is not PCOS what could it be. Alot of the time they will tell you that with the blood work there is nothing else it could be. If the Endo tells you they need to do more tests then do them. Also they will ask to do an ultrasound, it can tell you if you have cysts and if you have the true deffinition of PCOS which is many cysts on the overies. I hope that you get all of the answers that you need. Have you thought about charting your temps. Even if you dont want to get pregnant it is still a good idea so that you know when you ovulate and when you can expect AF.

I went to the Reproductive Endo on Wednesday. After a complete physical evaluation and about an hour's worth of questions, he sent me for bloodwork. So far I really like this doctor.
He said that my "thyroid gland size is on the high side of normal." And after he examined my cervix, he said that there was no way that I had ovulated yet because I have too much mucous. I'm on CD40 now. He agreed that something is not right somewhere.
The blood tests he ran are TSH, Free T3, FreeT4, estrogen, progesterone, estradiol, and one other test that I can't remember the name of (I'm at work and I left the paper at home). He gave me homework to start charting my temps. I forgot yesterday but I remembered today! I go back on the 27th for the results and a follow-up.
Thank you for everyone's help, and I will keep you updated!

His office called today. I was supposed to have a follow-up tomorrow, but they cancelled that appointment and now I am going in Thursday morning for a TRH test. I won't go back for the results for everything until October 20. So for now it's just the waiting game.

FYI, the TRH test is not pleasant. It's a 2 hour test, and now I have a headache, nausea, and a metallic taste in my mouth that won't go away. Fun!
