Question Test results back.....Help!!

GYN gave me some of my test results today. She is mailing rest of them to me. What she did tell me was that my T3 is elevated , my T4 is normal. My TSH is 3.2. Besides all the symptoms I have that indicate Hypo, what do you guys think about these results?

normal TSH and normal T4 doesn't indicate hypothyroidism. My hosp doesn't even test T3 it's just the precursor, doesn't have any biological activity. However, I have just been reading some interesting stuff that emphasises the need to manage the symptoms not just the lab results so thats really important too but maybe you could discuss the poss that your symptoms are caused by something else?? Hope that helps xx

Was the test for free t3 and free t4, or just t3 and t4?

Question

The testing I had was for free t3 and free t4 plus tsh. My tsh was 3.24, up from last time taken. My free t3 was 4.77 and my free t4 was 1.47. Besides having nearly every symptom of Hypo, what do these numbers mean? My doctor seemed worried about my t3 and tsh. Which I guess is why she is sending me on to my primary for analysis. What do you guys think?
