Testosterone Levels And Stuff! Hi - I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1998 and have been trying to conceive since then... I have insulin resistance, I take 1500 MG Metformin per day, I have excess hair, on body and face... I tried Clomid at different doses a few times, it seemed to make me ovulate a couple of times, but I didn't conceive... My doctor wants me to now go to injectibles and then in In-vitro... This is what I don't understand...
I just had blood work done, my testosterone level was 4.7 nmol/L which is high (normal for a woman is 0.45 - 3.7 nmol/L)... AND even though I've recently lost 60 pounds and take 1500 mg of Metformin per day, my Insulin levels are still high, but I don't have the levels... Even if I do get my body to ovulate, how can a woman's body ovulate and begin to sustain a pregnancy when my testosterone levels are so high for one? And the same with insulin levels... I just don't understand, and none of my doctors will address my testosterone levels, and until I can get it under control, I can't look at any laser treatment options or other options to help with the stubble on my face? I'm so lost and I'm getting bogged down with it all and just wanna forget it --- but I know I can't... I've recently acquired a copy of the last 5 or 6 years of my test results, and all the reports and letters between doctors sure address the face my test. levels are high and that it's likely contributing to my hirtuism, but none of them will address it with me...
HELP please....
Nicole
