Default Tests

Um...I hope this is the right forum to post this xD;.

I'm going to get a doctor's appointment to see if I have PCOS, but I was just wondering, how do doctors actually test, to check if someone's got it?

You may want to try posting this in the Newbie forum. Basically my doctor went over how often I had been getting a period (if you have been keeping track, bring this info), she did an ultrasound to look for cysts, and then ran various blood tests. A combination of all these things led to a diagnosis. There isn't a specific test that tells them "yes or no".

Oh bugger, the newbie forum didn't seem the place to post, sorry about that.

And thanks for your reply. I think I read in another thread something about a blood test to measure the liver enzymes. This is a bit unrelated, I admit, but if I had that, would it be able to tell me anything else, such as if I have any damage to my liver?
