Default Texas State Adoptions...anyone do it through the state?

right now dh and i are ttc...nothing is happening...i am so frustrated with the whole thing, and to be honest i have always thought that i was going to adopt...dh on the other hang wants ttc for a while and see what happens...technically we have been ttc for over 2 years, and nothing. me not having af is what is the kicker and when i do have an induced af it does not last long and we don't kow if o or not...anyhow, if nothing happens this with the whole ttc we are going to move to adoption...last year we went to a christian adoption agency and sat through one of those orientation meetings, and although the fees are on a sliding scale (ours would be around 12k) there is no way that we could afford it. if we did start trying to save for it it would take a few years, and to tell you the truth i want to be a mom more than anything in the entire world. so i have talked to dh and we know of a couple through the seminary that adopted a baby girl through CPS...so i was wondering if there was anyone from tx that had adopted through the state an infant, and how that worked?

I am adopting a foster child but we are getting an older child.. I will be very honest with you but if you want an infant, dont go through the CPS system unless you are willing to be a foster family, possibly wait for a long time, and endure the possibility of the child returning to their families before you get the chance to adopt them. If you have any questions I can try to help just PM me or email me. What City are you in?

From what I understand it's very difficult to adopt an infant through the state. When I looked into it I was told that in order to do that we would have to be willing to foster to adopt, which then you run the risk of the child being returned to their biological family, and/or it taking a very long time for the adoption to actually go through. That's not to say that it can't be done though!
