I started smoking in my early teens and have tried quiting a few times- ALL for the wrong reasons- usually because of some one else. This time, almost 2 years ago I did it for me. Now, I'm actually getting my bills paid- and check it- I can afford cable internet. LOL
The end of August / first part of September will be 2 anniversary of quitting. This coincides with the time I moved out of the smoker infested dorms at my college and got my own apartment.
In looking back, it boggles my mind- how I could ever afford smoking and even just squeaking through my monthly budget. Now, everything is getting paid and I've even got enough left over to spoil my new additions to my life. My girls, Sunshine and Nieca. These two cats are cause for me to claim pragging rights. I don't know how I got to blessed to deserve these two kitties. I couldn't imagine exposing them to that smoke.
That's wonderful news! I've heard it's really hard to quit smoking, so I am very proud that you did it! Already you are benefitting healthwise and financially and your furbabies are benefitting, too! Good for you!

Thank you ladies. It wasn't easy although moving out of that smoke infested campus apartment and in to my own place has helped immensely.

Congrats. It's will be 6 months on 7/10 since I quit smoking. I feel sooo much better and can't believe how much $$$ I spent on those nasty things. Yay for us!!!!
