Default Are there any herbs that will bring on menstrual cycle?

I am not sure if this is the correct place to put this post but I wanted to ask if anyone has taken anything or done anything that brought on a cycle. I haven't had one in 13 months. I tried two rounds of Provera and that didn't work. My doctor suggested that my weight is causing it and I am working on that as well. I currently go to WW. I had a little bit of spotting (TMI, sorry!) last month but it lasted about half a day. I really don't want to go back to the doctor right now because he will just say about my weight. I have started taking my meds again, Met and Synthroid. Any advice would be great!

I don't know about bringing on a cycle, but I have had great success with Vitex. I took it for only 1 month and started having regular AF and continue to have it as long as I take it daily.

Dong Quai and Red Clover did it for me after waiting 4 months. Do not take them while trying to conceive. Good luck!

Can you get a prescription for prometrium? It works like provera, just a more natural form. If you want to try over the counter treatments you may want to try NPC (natural progesterone cream) that I think you can buy at walmart. You apply this cream to the thin parts of your skin like breast, underarms, inner thighs, 1-2 teaspoons 2 times a day for 14 days and then you stop. Af should arrive within 2 weeks but most times sooner. I believe there is a thread on npc cream in the alternative remedies thread.

I would also take the vitgex after you have induced af to regulate your cycles. It may work for you.

Hi, Thanks for all of the advice. I have ordered some of the Fertility Blend and I have also purchased some progesterone cream. I haven't tried Prometrium lately. I think I will try the natural way first. I am just trying to avoid the Dr's office right now. Thanks again everyone!
