Is there a B multivitamin that doesn't smell/taste like butt?
Hey ladies,
Well I wasn't sure if I should post this here but do you have problems taking any of your meds or vitamins because they smell or taste awful? My spiro is pretty rank but I can deal with that. It's the B multivitamin I have a problem with. It smells gross and tastes even worse. To top it all off it's a huge vitamin that gets stuck on the way down. Yummy.
Does anyone have suggestions on a good brand? I'm using a 150 complex from GNC.
I've never noticed a taste of any of my meds or vitamins. Metformin smells horrible if get a sniff of the canister but I don't notice the taste.
Maybe try taking your meds with milk to mask the taste?

Pure encapsulations makes a great B complex. It's relatively small and has no yeast in it, so it doesn't smell or taste bad. Here is a link to the product: http://www.purecaps.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=BCP1
They only sell it through professionals. The best prices I have found are at www.thegoodsleepstore.com and they have free shipping. I noticed a difference within 3 days of taking just one pill a day.
I forgot to mention...Pure Encapsulations also makes a liquid Folic Acid. You absorb it much better. I put 5 drops in water and I can't taste it at all.
I take a B complex vitamin made by "members mark", it's not too big and doesn't have a bad taste/smell. I don't know where you live, so I don't know if you'd have access to this... I got it at Sam's Club, so they may have it at Wal-Mart too because I know they're owned by the same company
Forgive my ignorance, I'm new here: why are B vitamins important for PCOSers? I take the B vitamin because it promises to boost energy, not because I knew anything about PCOS and a B vitamin

I take it for the energy too. I have big problems with being sluggish, especially in the afternoon. The B vitamins really help with that. So that's the main reason. However, I have noticed that it makes my skin look better. Thanks for the tip-I'm going to go look for those.
