Angry Are there many hirsute thin cysters?

Was just wondering how many thin cysters have a problem with hirsutism?

I am thin and have never had a problem with weight really, except that if I have ever put on a few kilos, it is around the waist. I am IR which I take 1500mg of Metformin for, I have been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 15 and have the typical string of pearls around the ovaries. My periods would either never come or they would come too often. I have more hair than I would like and my blood work does show higher than normal levels of angrogen, for this I take 100mg of Aldactone.

At the moment I am taking BCP as when I go through periods of stress my skin breaks out.

Are there other women here who have the same symptoms as me. Do you think I have a chance of conceiving?

I am a thin cyster taking 1500 met altho my RE doesn't think I'm IR. I have too much hair on my upper lip, chin and thighs. My testostorone levels were normal (high side of normal).
My cycles range from 35-40 days. I'm hoping for shorter cycles so we can have more chances to ttc. I'm not sure yet if Met is working...
adding soy and vitex

Thanks for your reply.

My testosterone levels are on the higher side of normal as well. Do you have the line of hair on stomach and abdomen? I have a few stray hairs on upper lip and chin, but I notice most of all that my eyebrows are coarser than they should be.

Vitex definitely worked for me in regulating my cycles.

Good luck trying to conceive.

yea my testosterone levels are higher than they should be as well. Thank God I have blond hair on my upper lip and chin. But it is defiantly there. Abnormally there...not alot but enough to know I have too much testosterone. I have a slight strand on my navel, and a few dark hairs around my nipples that I hate.
My periods are so irregular....I recently started taking Vitex, heard much good things about it. I only started a couple of days ago, so no results yet....But pray I do.
But I hate the hair, so embarassing....But you take care,
Ericka

My symptoms are acne, ring of pearls on my ovaries, a few coarse hairs above my upper lip, on my chin, and around my nipples. I pluck them normally, but since starting vitex, dong quai, and vitamins I've noticed that they have gone away! I am not IR but have been on met for over 2 years. I was on Rezulin way back in '98 and did much better on it. I'm planning on asking my gyn to switch me to actos or avandia or do a met combo with one of them when I see her on the 18th.
