LADIES: Does it ever feel to you like if you took ALL of the pills that you have to take in ONE day AT ONE TIME, you would be SO FULL, that you could skip a whole meal and not feel hungry?
CP and cinnamon and metformin together could drop your blood sugar too low.
You could take them but you'd have to really pay close attention to how you feel.
Spiro and SP do the same type of thing I don't know if they would be safe to take together or not though...just really would drop your testosterone, not sure what else.
I haven't had a hard time with the bcp and the herbs at all.

ok well i'm not taking the cinnamon or the chromium yet.. i AM taking the saw palmetto, but now that I've started work, I'm not taking the spiro because it makes me pee all freaking day and I just can't take pee breaks all day.. but I don't think my testosterone dropping too low should be a problem, since I'm not gonna take the spiro, right?
I was also thinking maybe cinnamon plus met might drop my blood sugar too low, but i wasnt sure.. I haven't started taking cinnamon yet, but I was planning on going from met to cinnamon, like start lowering my dose of met while adding cinnamon to my diet, until i am taking NO met and just using cinnamon..
And the I'm not taking the chromium yet, but I was reading about it and it's supposed to have a lot of pleasant effects, but I'm really afraid of the NEGATIVE side effects that i've also read about.

I've been taking Chromium Piconilate for years and nothing terrible has occurred just yet.
I have seen the negatives but they seem to have happen to a limited few.

Tukeetukee,
I'm on 1000 mg/day of Met (two 500mg 2x/d). It dropped my blood sugar about 5-6 mg/dl on average. I took Met alone for about 2 weeks and then started taking 3g of cinnamon (six 500g tabs 3x/d). I then saw my levels drop another 7-9 mg/dl, so instead of a fasting BS of about 105 or so, my fasting BS is now around 90 to 93 or so... Still not great, but not so high at least. I'm now ready to add in Chromium to see what that does to my BS levels.
You really just need to track how you feel. Better yet, if you can afford it, go get a blood sugar monitor and track at least your fasting levels to see what effect the meds are having on your body. The strips can be expensive though, so don't get fooled into buying the cheapest monitor if the matching strips are the most expensive... your long-term costs of buying strips is more significant than the upfront cost of purchasing the monitor.
Cheers,
Dianna
