So I've been on Yaz for the past 3.5 months (also 200mg/day spiro) for elevated androgens. I was fine for the first 2.5-3 months, and my primary concern, hair loss improved dramatically. But the past month of so, not only has the improvement tapered off, but I'm having really bad gum imflammation and pain. Started off being one spot between 2 of my molars, but now its my entire lower gum to the point where I'm basically living on soup and mashed potatoes. I went to my dentist, who told me to rinse with hydrogen peroxide and referred me to a periodontist. But the earliest I can get an appointment is the 12th of oct! I can't imagine living with this for that long

Any ideas on what might help? I'm brushing and flossing after I eat anything, and taking advil.
I'm also having horrible mood swings - sudden and extreme fits of anger and aggression, feel like bursting into tears all the time. I've always suffered from mild depression (on doxepin for that), but I've never been a violent person, either mentally or physically. Can this be caused by the BCP? I know many people have mood swings etc on the pill, but I can't understand how I was totally fine at first, and now feel like I'm losing my mind...
