Just as I was sinking into that hole, thinking our day would never come....it has arrived!!
Our agency received our Travel Approvals (TA) today!!! They say our tentative travel dates are January 5-17th!!! Emily's visa date would be on the 15th. I think "Gotcha Day" will be around the 8th but they haven't told us that yet.
I should know more soon, probably by Friday--all I know is that miracles do happen. If we hadn't heard today chances are we wouldn't travel until the end of January.
The US Consulate in China is closed for Christmas Eve & Christmas and they are 13 hours ahead so they are already closed for 2 days so we won't have much info (I don't think) for a few more days.
I'm so thrilled we have this good news for Christmas. Now I can rest easy that my baby will be in my arms in a matter of WEEKS!!
Phew...I'm very emotional, but so very very thankful!
Have to go share the news with more family but wanted to make sure I told my friends here too!

Disappointing news tonight--we won't be traveling until the end of January. Consulate appts. were all booked up so we can't get in until February 9th.

Lisa, I'm sorry about the delay. ((((hugs)))) I know how excited you were. All I can think is there has to be some reason that you may not know about unitl later, if ever. These kinds of things really...suck (lol) at the time, and later we're relieved they happened.
It is still just around the corner. I hope it goes quickly for you. Rest up and have a Blessed Christmas with your family.
Hang in there Lisa. We were prepared to go get Zach back at the first of May, and due to tornadoes in Atlanta, our flight was cancelled (we were sitting on the plane when they got cancelled). It was a week later before we were able to travel. It ended up being a blessing, as we got there, and his paperwork was not complete. Had we gone when we were supposed to, we would have had to stay 2 weeks instead of 5 days.
I say all this, to tell you, there is a reason for the long delay, but you are finally going to get your little girl.
