Default Thin Cysters - Acupuncture for PCOS?

This is new for me, but I read posts on the SoulCyster's forums often.
I have not been officially diagnosed with PCOS. I've been diagnosed with a "menstrual disorder", but I believe I do have some degree of PCOS. Anyway, I have not tried other fertility meds, but I am undergoing acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments with hopes of restoring my menstrual cycle and getting pregnant naturally. I have been to two treatments (one each week) over the past two weeks and I have noticed my BBT has been more consistent from morning to morning (my temp. swings have only been between 0 to .2 degrees, where before they were up to .5-.6), but I haven't noticed any other significant differences so far. I am hopeful. I have read several articles and books that suggest acupuncture can normalize hormone levels associated with PCOS. Has anyone had success with acupuncture?

You might want to run a search here in the Alternative Remedies forum, and in the Research Articles forum. There are several discussions and studies on it

I did Chinese acupuncture for a while until I realized that my insurance doesn't cover it.

In addition to acupuncture, i got:

1) uterine lifting massage
2) cupping
3) moxibustion (sp?)
4) herbs

The most interesting and unexpected was the uterine lift. It's easy to do at home too. You basically put your hands where the mound (top part) of your down there begins, and lift upwards, as if you are lifting your uterus. you have to go deep. you'l feel like you're lifting your belly It's easier to do if you're laying down or bending over.

It did help me get my period naturally in the first month.

If my clomid round 1 doesn't work, I'm thinking of getting treatments again even if its out of pocket.

i am currently doing just acupuncture and some herbs to help increase flow to my uterus for an upcoming IVF cycle (i'm thin, but can't tell you yet if its working)

the cupping sounds interesting. so with the cupping you reach inside and pull up?? not quite sure i followed what you were saying. but that is great it worked

I've read that acupuncture is supposed to be more effective with thin cysters. I'm not thin, but I've had good luck with acupuncture - monthly cycles, which are totally unheard of for me, and ovulation the last few cycles.
