Anyone ever used this? Please share experiences.
Hi ladies. Thanks for replying. Avandia is an insulin sensitizing drug that helps lower insulin. It is used to treat IR and recently PCOS. I have read that many lean pcos patients do well with it and it doesn't have the bad s/e like glucophage. It will not lower blood sugar. It is not used in pregnancy so if you are trying to get pregnant the dr. may use glucophage instead. Many lean women with pcos are not helped by diet as much since theirs seems to be a true endocrine dissorder not brought on by weight gain. This drug has shown promise helping women with PCOS cycle and ovulate on their own. I can't imagine not having to take bc pills anymore. WE'll SEE!!! I'll keep everyone posted as I progress through this. Here is a link to try and look up meds. for pcos before your dr. appointment.

I did try chromium and it didn't help my cycle. Maybe it did help insulin though.
I'll keep everyone posted.
