Question thin cysters and diet

Have ant of you had success with low carb diets ( even if your not IR). I'm sure this has been brought up b4 but I can't find it.
If so - did it help you to ovulate and get reg. AF?
Did it help anyone get a BFP?

Just because of the way I eat, I've always been pretty low carb. I think it's helped me keep pretty regular cycles, but not clockwork. I get my period about every 35-40 days, with one exception in the past year. I'm going to check out South Beach, though, not b/c I need to lose weight but because I don't really know much about low GI diets.

Due to rave reviews on this site I recently purchased The Insulin Resistance Diet. The basic premise is that you pair protein with your carbs to reduce an insulin resistant body's tendency to spike glucose and insulin levels and store things as fat. Even if it doesn't help me lose a little weight I feel that it will help me create healthier eating patterns for when I do start TTC and need my body to be as happy and cooperative as possible. There is also a very strong history of type II diabetes in my family so I am hoping to combat that as well. I wish I could be more helpful!
