Well...................................it sounds like I won't be actively TTC for the next month until this new RE runs more tests. Here are the 4 tests he will do at the beg. of my cycle.

1)Repeat my HSG and I'm praying my new ins. covers it this time around. He wants to repeat it b/c it over Nov. 06 when I had it done and for you that have been on this thread since then will recall they found inflammation in my tubes and this RE is very suspicious that that could be the problem.
2) CD 3 FSH b/c I've had the FSH done, but not on CD 3
3)He is also going to do an endometrial bioposy to rule that problem out
4) Draw blood to see the quality "age" of my eggs. I had no idea by bloodwork they could determine that. For DH he wants to repeat
5) CD4,5 or 6 u/s to see how many eggs i have at the beginning of my cycle

Pretty advance and finite tests he will be running. He also took me off of the Met b/c there is a cutting edge report out about using Met w/ clomid and the pregnancy success rates had a huge decline. He also said he will not put me on femara anymore b/c of the recent study that came out a few months ago emphasizing it shouldn't be used to induce ovulation....he said most RE's that used it have stopped.

DH will have a 3rd SA done and a small sample of his sperm will be sent to a lab in Massachusetts (same lab the will look at the"age" of my eggs) to determine if his chromosomes and DNA are normal. Normal SA only look at the outside of the sperm and not the inside which are even more important.

So as you can tell this RE is going to rule out EVERY possible problem. He said he has a strong suspicion my HSG will show more inflammation in tubes and that DH SA will show something finite despite the past 2 rather normal SA.

Have no idea what his treatment plan for me will be until we meet again after all these tests. I hope that my ins. will cover all these tests..................my ins. usually covers diagnostic stuff so I have to call Wed. and talk to their office ins. person to get price quotes on everything and to verify that ins. will cover it.

I should have all these tests done by mid Jan of course this all banking on that I didn't get preggo this month................I'm on CD 22 so wouldn't that be something!

I want to POAS so bad but DH really doesn't want me to. He said that if its negative he doesn't want me to be sad only to maybe find out it'll be positive on Friday. BLAHHH I understand his point but my patience at this point in time is thin.

Yea its hard but I have no tests in the house so it makes it a bit easier. I have been peeing like crazy today....not sure if its a symptom or I'm just making it up. I'm the type of person that will go in the morning maybe once in the day and then before bed. Hmmmm.....I'm driving myself crazy. Will Friday ever come????

lets see....its hard to separate the signs b/c I'm on the prog supp. BBs that are about to explode, horrible uterus pains that shoot into my vag (usually get those before AF), irritability..etc

Hey Stef -- sounds like your dr is doing everything possible. I hope you'll have some good answers in the next few weeks! Question -- do you know what study your dr was referring to about femara? I ask b/c I've been on femara, and now I'm freaked out that there is something bad about it. I just did a PubMed search and everything in 2007 is either neutral or positive about it. So I'd love to know what the bad study could say??
