My Mood: Points: 31,558.73 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 31,558.73 | Morning/afternoon, ladies! I'm off work today (using up some vacation days), so I slept in and have been lazy all morning.
Stef -- your chart doesn't show a clear-cut O. Still possible, but there isn't a distinct shift yet. I agree about waiting on the P4 -- late Oing is so common on clomid. I'd give it a little longer to work, unless you get an obvious trend here pretty soon.
Deb -- yep, this would be a perfect O time, so I hope you are! My temps are always all over the place in the first part of the cycle. Hopefully this is it and you get a good solid jump here in a day or 2.
Emotional behavior -- yep, I guess we all do it. Last week I broke down in front of 2 of the lab/blood draw people and another patient. I went to sit in the consult area to calm down, where there were 2 other couples. I felt like such an idiot. No one said anything though. I'm sure they see it almost daily.
Other women getting BFPs -- it's just plain hard. Even with my pseudo-BFP going on right now, I had an emotional breakdown when I found out a couple of days ago that a wedding we are going to in September is b/c the bride is currently pg on accident. The couple is a dr and a nurse -- you'd think they'd know how to prevent an "accident." Anyway, I think my jealousy of other ppl's fertility will never go away, even when I am really pregnant.
Acupuncture -- heard great things about it. My sister who can't get pg (male factor) tried it for a long time, along with Chinese herbs, and enjoyed her sessions but didn't get pg. I think she wasn't accepting the fact that it was probably male factor and not her all along. So in her case there was nothing to fix! But I've read all the studies and there really does seem to be some benefit as far as circulation to the uterus and implantation. It's expensive, so I never tried it, but figured I probably would if we go to IVF. I did contact one here in Dallas, and she said she wouldn't treat me unless I was also on Met. Interesting.
Txan -- Who is the "expert" in the area?? I am all for getting additional opinions. Interesting about the Frisco RE being a PCOS specialist. I am also a little scared of young doctors, but maybe being fresh out of training means the most up-to-date on the newest stuff? Yeah, Bedford is a long drive for me, especially on days I'm not working in Arlington.
Thanks to everyone for the happy thoughts/encouragement/congrats. Of course I won't be able to accept it until an ultrasound confirms a viable intrauterine pregnancy. I hope you all don't mind that I hang out here -- I still feel like I'm more in the TTC category and not ready to call myself pregnant yet. I'm trying to walk the fine line of thinking positively and guarding myself in case it doesn't work out.

My Mood: Points: 2,935.91 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,935.91 | Aaarg! I just typed a super long response, and the posting got messed up. Ah well, let's see what I remember talking about...
Thanks for your replies regarding accupuncture. I will be starting with somone who I spoke to a few months ago, but opted to try someone who practiced "accupressure" and "body talk", since the principles are similar (meridians, energy flow, etc.), and the location and timing worked out better for me. Also since the person worked out of her house, it was cheaper too, as well as she felt not as many sessions needed for benefit (start off 2/week, went to 1/week then 1/every other week). I thought the treatments were good, and up to transfer I felt all was great. However, with the chemical pregnancy bust of my last cycle, I may as well try accupuncture to see if it helps. I am not sure if 1/week will be enough, but we'll see what the accupunturist says. It is pricey - $90 first session and I think $60 or $70 for follow on sessions.
I was on Met mostly through the first round, and not on it at all second round. My feeling is that I'll get back on and stay on it, since it does seem to be the preferred medicine for PCOS, even though the Drs can't point to definitive research where it helps in thin clients like myself with no IR (that I know of). However, if the second opinion Drs feel strongly, I'll definitely go on and stay on!
I have not broken down in front of Drs or nurses yet, since I have had a logical view of what has happened. However, it is hitting me harder at each failure, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time. However, I was really annoyed with the nurse who called me with the bad Beta news last weekend. Of course her voice had the "I'm so sorry" tone, and I found it patronizing. I know it sucks to be the bearer of bad news, but come on! give me the straight but compassionate talk. I guess I am in the angry part of grieving!!
Tummy - the Dr. I was referred to was Dr. Brian Cohen out of Medical Cities. http://www.briancohenmd.com/ He is semi retired (no invasive procedures), but has extensive clinical experience and a great reputation. My friends who have been treated by him rave about their experience, so worth a consult. I will have to file my own insurance (what a pain), and if I continue treatment it will get quite costly due to higher copay and higher deductible. Ideally I go for a second opinion and hopefully find someone else for the longer treatment. I am still going back to my current RE for follow up tests (hysterscopy, misc bloodwork) to make sure nothing too strange has popped up. She does equate my issue with the "healthy embryo" lottery vs any other underlying issues. Supposedly Dr. Cohen does do treatment that is not in the "normal playbook" so we'll see if he thinks something else is going on.

thanks for the support about the other girl's BFP. she really is very sweet and i hope she has a happy and healthy pg, but it just felt like the wind was knocked out of me for some reason.
and tummy? of course you can stay on this board. heck, who else realizes that the thread has gotten too long? (and has it, by the way? i was wondering that myself).
acupuncture: good to know! my friend's wife (the hypnotist) started out studying acupuncture but switched over about 3 years ago to hypnotism. I emailed a brief version of my story and she sent back some standard questions so i'll let you know how that goes.
i'm thinking about switching my charting time to 6am instead of 7:15am. I chose the later time b/c that's when DH is dressed for work and so he would wake me up, but now with it getting light so early outside i wake up a few minutes before. i don't get up, but still. let me know what you girls do!

anyway, i'm having AF like cramps. i'm not looking forward to a BFN! you'd think by now i'd be used to it.

My Mood: Points: 2,254.91 Bank: 3,920.70 Total Points: 6,175.61 | Pikachu, Tummy, Keo, Deb, Relka, and Doolin-Thanks for your interpretation of my chart! I'm by no means an expert on this charting crap nor do I know what exactly I'm looking for.
Doolin-I take my temps at 6:00am everymorning when my alarm goes off which normally is out of a deep sleep and I'm doing the OPK's in the afternoon.
Relka-Hopefully those ARE NOT AF cramps! And I don't think you can every get use to the emotional downfall of a BFN month after month.
Deb-We have to stick together through this clomid charting craziness!
Keo-I take my temp whenever my alarm goes off. It is so hard to deal with hearing of other girls getting BFP.......I have my fair share of that this month so I can really relate.
Txan-You are pretty amazing to be so emotionally calm after such a let down.
Tummy-I'm so hoping you get good news from your u/s. Hopefully time will fly by until then!
Pickachu-That is so true about Murphey's Law!
Just sitting here hoping to get some clear temp shifts or clear positive OPK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

tummy--still sending good thoughts your way.

My Mood: Points: 11,025.14 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 11,025.14 | good morning ladies-
in anticipation of a BFN, i had my 1st crying fit last night and 2nd this morning. i was giving DH a hair cut this morning(yes, he actually lets me cut his hair b/c he is too cheap to go to a barber) and i just kept crying. let's just say it wasn't my best haircut. i pulled myself together enough to go to work, but i will be in one of my minimal interaction modes today. i'm working on some coping mechanisms. on a side note, i met with Dh's therapist yesterday and it was okay except he said a couple of things that really upset me and it made me realize that it is important to see a therapist that has a background in dealing with IF. 1) he made it seem like i was trying too hard 2) he made it seem like if i just managed my stress better i would have an easier time getting preggo. i was so angry and tried to address it w/o damaging the relationship that my Dh has with him since this is his therpist. well i won't be going back there to discuss IF!!!! i mean really, i have a medical condition that requires tx and DH has MF...hello! if relaxing was all it took i'd head to the islands for a couple of months instead of sticking needles in my belly, getting daily bloodwork and almost daily vaginal u/s. hell, i was relaxed the 1st months i went off the pill when we weren't really trying and i wasn't even temping. after almost 8 months of acupuncture, chinese herbs and alomst a year of all other natural stuff including yoga for fertility, i don't want to hear any crap about "relaxing". sorry, i needed to vent. i am so frustrated by people who thing they can just tell you to relax and you'll get preggo. july will be 2 yrs of unprotected sex and i'm quite ready to smack the next person that says that to me. so i'm taking it easy today. stef- temping can be frustrating. i like the idea about temping early even before your normal wake-up time. i was able to almost temp in my sleep at one point. deb- thanks, it helps to remember that about AF cramps. i'm hoping you O'd and the temps stay up!
hi heartcore, doolin, lauras, kdwg, tummy, pikachu and anyone else i missed.
