Hey everyone! I am going to NC to my brother's wedding, so I'll be M.I.A. for a couple days. Have a good weekend!

LeilaniBaby, I take 500 Mg per day of regular old Inositol from GNC. The two different studies I looked at had 200 Mg daily doses, and 500 Mg, and since they sell the 500 Mg dose at GNC, that's what I take. Haven't noticed any real difference so far, but hopeful. Good luck!

Tummy!! Awesome - congrats! I am so happy for you.

Thanks for letting me stay. I laughed out loud at the leprosy comment - hopefully that isn't what I have.

My ultrasound didn't look like anything to me but I haven't never seen an ovary before. I guess they are typical size and have a cyst or two but nothing that looks PCOS-like according to my RE. She seems much more worried about my adrenal glands for whatever reason. Hopefully this test will be scheduled quickly and I can figure out what the deal is. I did ovulate on my own last month for the first time in a few months so that is good news....

laura0621-when i was getting my pcos diagnosis i did have my adrenal glands tested. it was a few years ago so i can't really remember what it involved. i was diagnosed by an endocrinologist and she ruled everything else out before she gave me to PCOS diagnosis. what were your symptoms?

Today is the first day my fertility monitor wanted a stick (CD9) and it read high already. Last cycle, I had like 15 lows before a high..of course and a false peak. This time it will probably give me a too early peak.

Relka
I started having irregular periods a few months ago after a lifetime of very regular periods (although 3 years were on the pill, so they don't count I know). I have always had some acne breakouts as well.

Honestly, I don't know why she is saying adrenal glands. Something to do with the 4 rounds of bloodwork I have had over the past few months. I should have paid more attention but I think I am going to just try "going with the flow" and waiting to see what the adrenal gland test says before I start obsessing about possibly having another condition. I have spent the past 4 months reading obsessively about male infertility (because a doctor said my husband had it and now it turns out his sperm are great) and about PCOS (which I quite possibly don't actually have). I am going to try to just relax for a bit as I am tired of trying to figure this out! I asked her to write down the name of the condition she thinks I may have and she did and then she said she suggests NOT googling it because it will just freak me out as in serious cases it can be very scary and awful. She said I would have a mild "adult onset" form of this condition (whatever it is) so there is nothing to gain from me trying to read all about it. Anyhow, I think it is best for me to take a break from google for awhile. ha ha

Thanks for caring ladies - I appreciate it!

Talk to you soon. Can't wait for more BFPs on the board!

Unhappy

Tummy - the last time i did IVF, I did see a faint line before going to my appointment. I know it was at least a day ahead of time, and it was really faint. The results did come back positive, but the preganany only lasted 7 weeks due to a trisomy.

I did take another test this AM (1 day ahead of time) and it's a BFN. I have to say I am quite disappointed. Of course I have to officially confirm tomorrow, so there's still a chance, but I am now concerned since this is not like what it was last time, which did start off as a successful pregnancy. I was actually pretty hopefull this time since I had to take such a long break, and everything up to transfer (including side effects) was fine. It's not fun to think I have to do the whole process again, but I'll know one way or the other starting tomorrow. If it is the worst case, there will be a month break, since my ovaries need time to get down to normal size and lose the cysts. Ug!

WOW! I miss one day and there's so much to catch up on!
First off: Whitney - I am THRILLED for you. Seriously, that is amazing. I would totally go for the 3rd beta -- it seems a little bizarro that they didn't recommend it.
Laura32, Whitney, and Relka - ok, you guys made me LOL about Heartcore's DH's get-up-and-go. I'm with the rest of you: I think I've gone a little sex crazy in my 30s and DH has turned into a once a week kind of fellow. I actually think the big change for me was coming off BCP. That really tempered my sex drive for 12 years and when I came off of them - YOWZA - poor DH didn't know what hit him. ;-)
Laura32 - You are a stronger woman than I. I wish you and DH all the best and I pray for an uneventful tour and a safe return home. Which branch of the military is he in? I also hope you are having a great time this weekend and you get to dance yo booty off at yo bro's wedding!
DEB - My CBEFM always worked on my clomid cycles. Unfortunately, the machine "learned" from them and it took a while to get it readjusted to my natural cycles later. Hopefully it's a good sign that you're getting highs so early. How are the clomid s/e's?
Relka - When do you test?
Stef - I hope this is your cycle!
TXan - I have my fingers and toes crossed for you this weekend!!
Keo and Heartcore - what is the B12 for? Enquiring minds want to know ...

Oh, TXan, I just saw your post. This must be anxiety-ridden. I hope and pray that you get good news this weekend. There are plenty of girls who get negative HPT and positive betas. Hang in there. (((hugs)))
Refresh my memory, did you get any frozen embies? BTW, I'm still catching up on posts, but wanted to tell you that the clinical trial is open to women over 34; I just think my nearest clinic max'd out of the slots.
Best of luck, hon. We are all pulling for you.

Congrats Whitney!!! And, I understand wanting to be guarded because you don't want to get let down, but I second what the other girls were saying... it's not about what the number is but that it is doubling. And really even increasing by 70-80% would be good. :-)

TX - I hope you are wrong about your results... Saying a prayer for you!

Hi to everyone else... gotta go get ready for another exhausting work day! ugh!

TXan -- BOOOOOO for the BFN this morning. I really hope you get a surprise on your beta. If not, Doolin's right -- that study accepts up to 42 yrs old, as long as there are slots in your age range. The DFW one is at my clinic www.embryo.net if you want to contact them (but hopefully as of tomorrow you won't need to!). (((((hugs)))))

Deb -- I hope the Clomid is working and it's a real peak this time!

Laura32 -- Have a great time at your brother's wedding! I love weddings

Laura06 -- agree, DON'T google. You'll only find out the scary stuff that won't have anything to do with you in reality.

Heartcore -- totally understand about temping. It stresses me out, but somehow I can't stop! Have fun in GA!

Relka -- EEk! How are you feeling??

Doolin -- thanks Yep, I'm right there with you on the 3rd beta.

As for me, still cramping/spotting today, which totally freaks me out and I wish it would stop. It's not bad, just scary. I'm trying to prepare my brain for the worst, though I know I'll be sad no matter what if it doesn't stick. I made an appt for a beta on Tuesday, so hopefully it will be nice and high by then. I also had to make an appt for my 6w u/s, which made me feel like I was jinxing it, but oh well. I really won't accept it until I see a beating heart in the right spot. Paranoid about an ectopic, m/c, etc.
