My Mood: Points: 1,934.81 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,934.81 | Hi there!
Heartcore-I took the Portia pills for the study. I was fine. My dr.'s office took the unused pills back to track for the study so hold on to it.
Tummy-I'm glad that you are feeling better and ready to get back in the game.
Stef-I hope you feel better soon! It sounds terrible. YUCK!
I, like Laura, wish I could help with the charts. It's like another language to me. I am still doing the Lupron and stims. I have an appt on 5/14 to see what is going on.
Hi to all the other lovely ladies!!

Whitney - I'm glad you are not hurting as much physically. I can only imagine how much you want to get back to TTC.
Ry - It's hard to tell parents about IF stuff. I know my Mom somehow thinks something she did while pg with me might have caused my PCOS and I know that isn't true..but I guess as a parent, guilt is part of life.
Keo - glad you're back. Hope you O soon.
Stef - Glad you are feeling a little better. I actually got thrush in my throat, of all things, during my 2ww...and remember reading online that it can come out when pg happens.
Pikachu - sorry the Ov watch is thinking you O'd and the temp isn't cooperating. I hate that! I hope your temp goes up tomorrow.
Springtime - What day of stims are you on now?
I start my clomid tonight..here we go again

Since having my ovary and tumor removed, I've ovulated two months in a row without any medication. So, the plan for now is to try naturally for a few months (assuming I continue to ovulate on my own). I feel pretty positive about my chances since we don't have any MF problems, my tubes were clear when I had my HSG in January, and my uterus is normally shaped and healthy. Hopefully I won't need to go back to the RE, although I do like him

My Mood: Points: 1,762.42 Bank: 2,745.12 Total Points: 4,507.54 | I swear it never fails. Had a perfect O (or so I atleast think) perfect timing (according to FF) and then I get sick during my 2ww. So my temp dropped yesterday and then again today. Yesterday's dip I wasn't concerned by it by now 2 days in a row????????? I'm trying to stay positive and blame it on the fact that I didn't sleep well last night and that I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom (which I NEVER do) and woke up 30 mins earlier b/c i couldn't swallow b/c my throat is so swollen. So I'm trying to think positive and say that those things caused my temp to lower. But the realistic part of me is thinking here goes another cycle ending on a depressing note. I don't actually feel bad and I don't have a fever, its just I feel like I'm trying to swallow an elephant when I do swallow and I have a painful cold sore inside my lip. Not sure what to make of all this. On a side note I did have a realistic dream that I tested and got a very clear positive. Its my mind playing mean mean cruel tricks on me!

honestly i am having the same stressful time right now...except mine is not due to sickness. its my damn family and how useless they are (my own father to be the most of that!) my grandfather was rushed to hospital earlier today and now everyone has gone pear shaped. i argued with my uncle earlier so badly, and i have had cramps ever since so i dont know whats going on...but i makes me so upset and so mad and furiated at the same time.
how are you supposed to have a baby under stress of sickness and family crap??
anyways...sorry for the rant. i just feel too, that this cycle is busted now.
i hope we are wrong and we both get BFP int he end.

You will probably get a better idea with the next couple of temps, and I will keep my fingers crossed for you in the mean time! Stacey – I think your chart looks great. You have a great luteal phase going here, which is even more obvious when I convert your chart to Fahrenheit. I think it’s great that you were able to have this O on your own too! I hope the sore nipples and pimples are a good sign.

Points: 3,361.90 Bank: 3,844.46 Total Points: 7,206.36 | Wow, there's so much to catch up on. I'll try for personals later.
I have been out of sorts for the past few days. I called the IVF nurse to schedule our class and she mentioned that my RE plans to put me on an antagonist protocol (no BCPs, no lupron, just stims). This was really surprising b/c a few months ago, he talked to me about IVF with lupron. And the other two REs I saw planned to put me on lupron. And while I am not against an antagonist protocol, I just feel like it's weird to make that decision without ever seeing any CD3 baseline b/w. (I never had it done at this clinic; I had it done recently at another clinic, but I haven't sent those records over yet.)
I don't know, I guess I'm having trouble trusting this RE again b/c I think it's a pretty big deal that he didn't realize that I had endometriosis and he didn't run the tests that would indicate that I may have had PID. I agree it's weird that my HSG could be "super clear" and still I have tubal damage, but if he was more proactive, I think he would have caught it.
The only reason why I am back at this clinic is because it is Cornell and it's supposed to be one of the best labs in the world. But I definitely feel gun shy about what I perceive to be flippant d/x and treatment. I have a call into him and will probably talk to him this evening.
But all of my anxiety about this boils down to the fact that I seriously am doubting whether I will ever have my own children. And this thought is devastating to me. It actually feels like grief. Ok, now I'm welling up in tears and should get back to work. Thanks for letting me vent/dump. You ladies are wonderful and I am so grateful to have you to lean on. :-)

ry - go read what i wrote for relka :-P
stacey - i really hope the pimples are a hormonal change and also that your granddad gets ok. *hug*
stef - i agree with the girls that you're still high and you're right around the time for an implantation dip! feel better! i hate the swallowing pain. i usually get it about a day or two before i get a fever. i've gone to the dr then and been told that it was nothing and *wham* one day later i'm back and magically have acute pharyngitus! (just another reason i have beef with dr's for not trusting us when we tell them something about our bodies)
doolin - i'm sorry about your dr not inspiring confidence. maybe since he is at the foremost institution he is just very been there/done that about everything? which isn't good at all. what is the antagonist protocol?
so day 2 of vitex. i think i spotted an obscenely small amount last night so maybe i o'd? think i'll go take an opk to see if it says anything.

IVF is a big undertaking and the success or failure has everything to do with the details. i really love my RE at NYU. he's dr. licciardi. NYU has excellent IVF success rates too. that doubting is painful and i hope that you get some encouraging news soon. i feel like we need small successes sometimes to keep us going.

Points: 2,911.97 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,911.97 | Relka - I'm sorry you're feeling depressed. After this cycle of mine, I can kind of understand the pain that comes with so much disappointment all the time (and I'm just getting started!). I don't see how we can avoid having ups and downs though... ttc is emotional enough, but we have to deal with bodies that don't work like they should, all while pumping medications that mess with our hormones even more. Anyways, I hope you start feeling better as you get going on this cycle - keep us posted.
I totally agree with needing small victories along the way - it's amazing how little things can be so positive in the midst of negativity. For me, seeing my DF come around to this infertility treatment stuff has made having a bad cycle a lot better for me. Yesterday I was feeling kind of sad at work about my OV watch not working and me not O'ing so I emailed him, and he responded with "It's ok my beautiful little pumpkin. We can talk more tonight. I'll look after you." Such a simple thing lifted my spirits so much!! Keo - Nice to have you back! Sounds like you're getting close to the elusive "O"!!
