Stef - that's great about your temp!! Are you going to test early?

Stacey - Sorry about the BFN. With my 2nd DD, I didn't test positive until 11dpo and that was only on one test. It took FRER until 12dpo to read positive. Fingers crossed!

Doolin - I'm sorry your talk didn't go well with the Dr. and that it seems he wasn't really trying to calm your fears/answer your questions about things. Maybe they aren't the right place for you.

Keo -I hope your body gives you a clue soon what is up.

AFM, no real s/e on the clomid so far. I got a super negative OPK last night..barely a line there, which is rare for me..so hopefully I can watch it get darker. My FM still hasn't asked for a stick..so hopefully I won't be ovulating on CD8 (although I don't think I did last cycle). WE did BD last night just i case

Doolin- So sorry that the talk with your RE didn't go well. I say go with your gut instinct about whether or not to switch docs. There's a lot to be said for good bedside manner and having confidence in the quality of care you are receiving.

Stef- Yeah for temps going up again. Your chart looks great! When will you test?

Stacey- Hang in there! Hoping this is your month!

Relka- How do you like the Yoga for Fertility DVD? Sounds interesting.

Not much going on here. Just waiting to see if I'll O on my own again this cycle. If I follow the same pattern as last month, then this weekend will be my fertile window. I'm so excited about the prospect of finally getting to experience my first 2ww!

stef & stacey: both of your charts look good!!!

doolin: Go with your gut about your RE...you don't want to have to dread going there every time if you aren't happy with him. My RE welcomes my million questions that I have and understands that I'm a google junkie haha

kdwg8r: oooo I hope you O this weekend!!!

If my IVF cycle goes perfectly on schedule (which I know they usually don't) we will be doing our egg retrieval on our anniversary....how romantic **insert sarcasm here**

Heartcore- Haha! Must be good advice if it came from both of us at the same time Hopefully you'll get to do something a little more romantic on your anniversary than egg retrieval. Although, how great would it be if it does end up falling on your anniversary and you do get pregnant? Now that would be great!

morning girls my temp is back down to "normal" and i took another 'almost positive' opk so who the heck knows what's up.

vitex users- did it ever cause spotting? maybe that's what's happening?

thanks for your well wishes everyone - i hope my body figures something up. im going to try and set up another hypnosis appt for tomorrow!

stacey - your symptoms do sound really promising - give it a few more days!

stef - i looked at your chart and it's still nice and high - good luck!

kdw - hope you have fun with your fertile window and your 2ww

deb - glad you bd'd early just in case!

heartcore - you gotta admit, it'd be an awesome anniversary present though!

doolin - i think you might want to try relka's re. with all that we go through, we might as well feel comfortable with our dr.

tummy - how are you?

hello to ry, the lauras, Hrt, TX, Shell and everyone!!

doolin- I agree with everyone else. That doc kind of sounds like a jerk and IVF is a big deal so he shouldn't treat your questions like that in my opinion.

stacey and stef- fingers crossed for a BFP!

deb- i really hope the clomid gets you a BFP this month. at least you know it "works."

hello to everyone else!

No news for me, still doing the provera. And trying to get through hump day.

Doolin – Ahhhhhhh, now I see. I didn’t get it from your last message. I totally agree with everyone else about switching docs. I would NEVER go with someone who wasn’t totally open to questions and really explaining it to me. I gather from “knowing” you on here that you are really interested in the details and rationale behind everything, as I am. A non-receptive RE would not cut it in my book. Especially when dealing with something as invasive/expensive/complicated as IVF. What was your reasoning for leaving the last RE? Those observations by him/her look above and beyond the norm – like he/she was very thorough. Can you go back to that one??

Stacey – sorry about the BFN. But yep, it’s early. LOTS of ppl have BFNs on 10dpo, followed by a positive the next day or so.

Stef – so glad you’re feeling better! Hope you’re on the road to a BFP…

Kdw – hoping you O this weekend!

Keo – I’m doing pretty well. Thanks for asking. Feeling almost back to normal. I even slept almost on my tummy last night!

Hi to everyone else.

keo- i will let you know aboy the yoga. the DVD is pretty good, but for a novice like me it is challenging. i tried vitex awhile ago and didn't spot. sorry i can't be more helpful on that one.

stacey- i think 10dpo is pretty early for a BFP, so don't give up yet. the 2ww is so long it is hard not to test early.

doolin- my RE has a fertility blog (http://infertilityblog.blogspot.com/) that will give you a good sense of his personality and approach. i really like that i know if i call him he'll return my call promptly. he doesn't make me feel dumb and actually takes some of my suggestions. the clinic itself is a well oiled machine. i'm very sorry that your RE is behaving like this, IVF is too big an investment for him not to make youf eel comfortable. the place i hope to check out is lilawellness.com. i am trying to find a couple of other options including one closer to my home.

stef-98.3 is great and i'm glad you're feeling better. i like the DVD but like i mentioned above it was pretty intense for me. i am going to star using it again and push myself a bit.

deb- i'm so glad the s/e are staying away.

kdwg- oh, i'm looking forward to you being in the 2ww too. i hope you get a nice strong O.

heartcore- egg retrieval on your anniversary.. yeap not so romantic but it would be nice to think that it'll bring you some extra luck.

rywalker - what day of provera are you on? the weeks have become one long day for me. i don't even know what day it is half the time anymore. all i know is whether i have to go in for morning b/w or u/s, LOL!

tummy- i'm so glad to hear that you're healing well. when is your next appt? i'm hoping you can get back to TTC quickly.

well, i had 2 follies on my right ovary both measuring at 12mm so i hope they both continue to grow. my right ovary seems to be doing all the work here. i'm back on friday for u/s and b/w and i'm staying on 75IU.

Deb, Stef, Relks, Keo, Heartcore, springtime, ry, kdw: thanks for the votes of confidence about following my gut. I have my sounding scheduled for Friday so I'll see the RE again and then I'll see what my gut says then. You guys are great. :-)

Whitney - herein lies my dilemma. I was super impressed with how thorough the 2nd RE was and, based on my lap, he seems like a terrific surgeon. BUT his SART stats are a bit lacking, particularly in the last reporting year. (however, in his defense, they don't do too many per year so it's hard to call it a valid statistical set. A few unfortunate BFNs can really through off his track record.) Also, his office is a bit disheveled and his colleague has a reputation as being less than stellar. I had decided to go back to Cornell simply b/c their lab is so flippin' good...
Thanks again for all of your insight and your willingness to "talk" me through this. You rocka mah world.

Heartcore - although not romantic (and downright sterile), it would be amazing if you conceived on the "anniversary cycle". It would be like planets aligning!

kdw - good luck o'ing. I still can't get over how beneficial your surgery has been!!

kdw and heartcore - LOL great minds think alike.

Hi to everyone else!

One question: has anyone gotten anti-bloat from metformin? I just upped my dose to 1500 mg and I've noticed my fingers and feet are thinner (I tend to be a water retainer). I've also noticed that my skin has cleared (but that may just be where I am in my cycle) and I got a good dose of EWCM this AM. It'd be terrific if it's really working ...

Relka -- I read that blog all the time! HOw cool! I was going to suggest Doolin look him up. He doesn't seem to into Lupron, interestingly -- he says he would rather just use less FSH than to suppress with Lupron and use higher FSH. Interesting. Yay for your follie growth! My right tends to do most of the work, too. I wonder how they decide which one is going to O each month? My next appt isn't till a week from tomorrow. I can't wait.

Doolin -- I see... that is a dilemma. I agree, though, that looking at the lab is really important (some say the most important). I wish you could get a good doc with a good bedside manner in addition... maybe if it doesn't work out on Friday Relka's doc would work. I think I actually bother my doctor less than I would otherwise b/c she gave me her cell phone #. I try not to abuse it, so I save up all my questions and call her as infrequently as possible. And she never makes me feel bad about calling her. I think that's the way it SHOULD be. Pooey on your doctor. He should have gone to charm school.

As for met, it made me lose weight for sure, but I think that was from the nausea. I was pretty skinny on it. I hope it's really working for you. How are your s/e's otherwise?

In a hurry, but had to tell you my P4 test came back with a 38.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! So I called the dr.'s office that ran the bloodwork for me (not my reg. dr.) to see if they would be ever so kind to run a beta on me and they said sure. So I went today and they said they'll have the results maybe tomorrow, but for sure by Fri before 10:00am which will be prefect b/c I will know my beta before going to my OBGYN appt at 11:30. I'm trying to stay completey neutral, but it is so hard b/c I know our timing was good and that P4 is AWESOME. So I sit and wait til Fri. now. Trying to not get my hopes up b/c I've been down this road before and my high hopes were crushed. BUT praying for a good result this time! I may test tomorrow which will only be 10DPO which is early. EEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKk I can't handle this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do have a question though when is a beta normally run.....9DPO isn't too early is it?

Stef -- my doc generally runs betas at 12 dpo. 9 dpo may be too early if you have later implantation, but it could be positive if implantation happens earlier. Congrats on the awesome P4!!

oh stef- that's a really good P4. i'm keeping my fingers crosses for you!!!!

doolin- maybe it is a sign. you know it may be worth a visit. i like to shop around for the right doc. and licciardi was the 4th RE i'd seen.

tummy- licciardi is a caring RE and he's doing a good job with my controlled stimming, so far.
