stef- i haven't had that specific experience with FF, but i usually don't rely on it too heavily b/c it always seems to be off a day or two on my O.

springtime- i'm so sorry about the s/e. i was a hot mess on clomid so i can only imagine how you must be feeling on lupron.

pikachu- i totally agree- if you figure out that clomid is not working for you then move onto injectables. part of my exhaustion with TTC is that it took me well over a year and a half to even start tx. i'm glad you have a plan.

txan- if you are using acupuncture as a complimentaty tx to IVF then i would say it is unnecessary to wait 3 months. with IVF acupuncture really works to increase the flow of blood to the uterus. if you are using acupuncture to treat pcos then they say to wait 3 months for the turnover of new eggs. same theory as with met. i do hope you are feeling better.

heartcore- thinking of you and hoping you get accepted to the study!

rywalker- i hope th emet is working for you. i'm glad your doc will do bloodtest to see. my endo who initially prescribed met didn't think it mattered to do b/w. where do i find these effed up doctors. i'm going to have to find a new endo. i'm glad i like my RE.

keo- what do you teach? you are so sweet. TTC or not, i'm not going anywhere. you are my girls.

kdwg- thank you! how are you?

doolin- i wanted to add i think it is smart to do metformin for 3 months too. i am back on it and i am going to add actos in a small dose since i can't seem to get over the 1000mg mark on met. my damn endo said that 1000mg is enough. my thoughts, enough for what not enough to give me a regular cycle or help me get preggo.

hello laura32, tummy, deb, laura, and anyone i missed! hello all visiting preggo cysters.

i'm so much better today. although, i almost had a moment when i was doing retail therapy at lunch and went into Zara and Ann Taylor loft and saw their maternity sections. Dh is better today and said he is ready for the next cycle. my bi-polar husband is going to drive me crazy, LOL! i still don't have AF so i guess if no AF by tomorrow i'll go in for a beta. the pessimist in me wonders if i even O'd. i am going to have a serious sitdown with my RE about my next cycle.

Relka and TXan-Retail therapy makes everything better..............atleast for the short term!

Heartcore-EEKKK you have to be so anxious......let us know how it goes!

Pikachu-I know what you mean about wanting more aggressive treatment. I think I'm going to do 3-4 months of clomid and then not sure what.

Keo-Ok so what caused you to get a + OPK and no O........do you know???? That is my biggest fear right now!

Rose-Thanks for visiting us and giving me some much needed hope. Hopefully I'm going to follow in your footprints!

Deb-Your chart is screwy like mine for sure!

Kdwg8r-I was just reading the FF only detects o like you said after 3 sustained high temps. Hmmmmm

So I called my Dr. to ask if I needed to wait 7 days b/c I O'd later than expected and he said he wanted to me to go today (CD 21) and then again in 7 days. Gosh I'm so consumed with all of this right now it is UNBELIEVABLE! I'm usually much more laid back and have the it will happen if meant to happen attitude, but not this month. Probably b/c I'm watching every little temp and OPK sign and the fact that I can feel the pressure from my ovaries. I know they say mentally it isn't good to stay so focus on it, but I CAN'T HELP IT RIGHT NOW! DH leaves tomorrow AM until Fri so we will BD again tonight and hopefully an egg has released for the swimmers to catch!

Doolin – No, I’m not being monitored, I wish!! I’m just having a CD21 progesterone test to see if I’ve O’d. I’m doing this treatment through by OBGYN, so it is definitely a “no frills” approach. I’m excited though, because I was on the waiting list for our fertility clinic, and I just found out I have an appointment for the end of June. By then I will have done 2 rounds of clomid, and will be ready to talk about more aggressive treatments. I would have to get on a waiting list for that too… so best to get started early!!

Relka – I know what you mean about a bi-polar DH!! My DF is slowly getting used to the idea that I am not fertile/we need to be more aggressive than the average couple, but he still reverts back every once in a while. I definitely feel like it’s a strain on our relationship. We’ve been together almost 8 years, and we’ve probably had more fights this year than all others combined. If I were completely fertile, it would be his preference to wait on the TTCing. On the other hand, he doesn’t want to miss the chance to have biological children. (I’ve actually warmed up to the idea of adoption - that’s the pessimist in ME though!)

I’m glad you’re feeling better. That’s strange about no AF… I am curious to see what your dr. says. Can you trigger and still not O? Is it possible that a beta will pick up something the HPT didn’t? I just think it’s weird that you’ve had AF symptoms for so long with no actual AF.

Stef – About taking the laid back approach… it’s easier said than done isn’t it? I know I can absolutely not do it!

pikachu- i know i think the AF symptoms with no AF is weird. but it does feels like she's coming b/c i am having cramps on and off. i kinda figured that 17dpo is late enough for most HPT's but who knows. funny enough, i looked into adoption last night too. i think it is something we will do regardless of the outcome, but not for another 3-5 years. i'm glad you're being so proactive, it seems like a smart way to work the waiting list.

stef- i really don't think there is anyway to not become consumed at some point during TTC. esp. if you are on a medicated cycle.

Doolin - Haha..too funny about the Brandy! I think I sleep restlessly at some point of every night with a daughter who fusses sometimes in the middle of the night. It didn't really affect my temps last cycle though,so I don't think that's it.

Heartcore - I hope you get accepted.

Stef - Yep, our charts are wacko for sure!! Makes me nuts

So I'm back from my appt. It was all so overwhelming, IVF is so involved! They did a physical and a pap and took 6 vials of blood. As far as acceptance goes, apparently you are accepted until you aren't accepted kind of thing. I should get AF by Friday thanks to the provera that I was already on and then start the BC on CD4 and then 14 days later start the Lupron. They told me that all the way up until I do my first Lupron injection they can reject me. Was it the same way with you Springtime??? Its so nerve racking. They don't want you to stress yet they throw this at you. Then with all the dates of appts we had to cancel our trip to California/Oregon, thankfully US Air gave us a credit. I told DH we better get accepted b/c it would suck to be rejected and no trip to Cali haha. Also I have to pay $1215 upfront for the tests and such to get you accepted and it non-refundable. My RE did tell me though that this past Friday they did call Duramed and asked what the chances were of patients getting accepted right now and they said 75%.....

Sorry so long...hello to everyone!!

Heartcore- wow that is hard to not know if you're going to get in and still have to start the IVF process. IVF can be overwhelming, but you get into the swing of it pretty fast.

Heartcore -- that sounds so promising! I would think that something crazy would have to come up for you to be rejected, so I would just PLAN on being in. That's really exciting.

My sister just got her box of meds and will start stimming tomorrow -- the box was 2 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet! She's not even doing Lupron. She said her house definitely looks like a pharmacy with everything lined up on the counter.

Deb and Stef -- I hate the O/non-O confusion! I hope it's real for both of you.

Relka -- I'm glad your DH is feeling better about the upcoming cycle. I really hope this does it for you. Any word from AF this evening?

Springtime -- how long do you have to be on Lupron? When do you start stimming?

Hi to everyone else. Not much going on here... just laying low.
