Deb-I just looked at your chart possibly the dip in temp is implantation????????

Kdwg8r-I looked at your chart and your chart looks really good.....nice high consistent temps!

Relka-It wasn't my choice to switch from femara to clomid, but the new specialist I was using didn't prescribe femara b/c it is not FDA approved for ovulation and long term effects of using it for just that are unkown. I'm not actually even using that new specialist right now..........it was my OBGYN who told me to stick with the script from the specialist and see what would happen. I'm not using the specialist b/c for him to monitor me with clomid and bloodwork was going to be some outrageous price (into the thousands) but OBGYN said he would scribe for it me and let me be unmonitored and just have CD 21 BW done and that is what I wanted.

Stef - That would be a nice fantasy explanation for my temp dip Even if my coverline was moved to 97.8, my chart would look so much better than it does. I wish things were just more clear cut for us. I'd rather have a real lousy chart than fake hope of Oing if this isn't real.

Maybe you O'd today and your temp will go up tomorrow!

Evening girls, I had my first hypnotherapy meeting this morning so I will describe that at the end, but first ... [drumroll, please] ... personals!

kdw - good luck and temping can be tricking (and drive you insane). while your temp should be higher at night, it you drank something within an hr or so or temping or had been talking (mouth open) then you can naturally lower it at least in your mouth. GL!

deb - i hope that you o'd!

stef - i hope that you o'd, too!

relka - i'm sorry. i was really holding out hope. *hug*

doolin - bleh to insomnia. i haven't been able to fall asleep at night either lately. don't know what it is but too bad about the "immaculate conception" - glad that you o'd!

rywaller - in college they gave me a copy of my b/w but now my doc is like your's, just tells me what is good and what isn't. i would ask for the numbers. it's like: do you mean my b/w is fine or fine for someone with pcos?

tummy - GL. i really hope it goes well.

so ... hypnotherapy ... well, since we had already discussed a lot of my issues (pcos/not ovulating) she asked if there was anything else. i mentioned gaining weight since going off the pill and trying to eat better/exercise. then she put me into my hypnotic/subconscious state. and had me think about anything in my body that didn't seem to be working. i said my ovaries (shock!) and she asked me to visualize them. it's weird b/c i saw them on a u/s and know that they look the same and have the same chain o' pearls cysts and yet when i pictured them one (the left - which began twinging and has been twinging all day) was full of cysts while the right looked almost dead. she had me talk to them (anyone ever see or read the magic schoolbus books/shows? yeah, it was that) and what i discovered from this was that i feel REALLY GUILTY about having PCOS. like if i ate better or exercised more i could have prevented all this and it's all my fault. she "suggested" that i forgive myself and move on but i had actually not realized that i was so mad at myself for all this. then she "suggested" that i reach for healthy food and move (not necessarily exercise) more. i found it to be a positive experience.

oh, and yeah, as part of the fun of being a grad student i get to teach - i actually really like it cause i want to be a teacher.

to everyone i missed - a big HELLO

Wow Keo, that sounded really interesting. I'm glad you felt it was helpful. Reminds me of when I used to visualize my embryos implanting after our IVF transfer.

Wow, Keo, that does sound cool. Definitely let us know if you lose weight, or ovulate, or feel less guilty anytime soon. It reminds me of my good friend in college, who used to visualize herself into having her period whenever she wanted (like to have it early, so she didn't have it for spring break). I tried it once, and it worked, but could have been a coincidence. She sweared by it, though.

Tummy, hope you get some good answers tomorrow.

Everyone else, hey, how are ya?

Not much happening here. Need to get off my butt and start exercising more. I have so far gained 8 pounds since quitting smoking. Which wouldn't really be that bad, if they weren't all right around my belly button, like some disgusting flesh bagel. I told DH that if it reaches 20 pounds, I will run not walk to the nearest store and buy a carton of cigarettes. That's awful, I know, but it's true.

Keo-VERY interesting stuff! Anxious to see if it works!

Laura32-Gaining 8 lbs is better than lung cancer! Pay close attention to see if you are eating when you get stressed. B/c I was a social/stress smoker and when I first quit completely I found myself instead of reaching for a cig reaching for food in stress times.

Deb-Interested to see what your temp does today!

Ok Ok running is ADDICTING and I'm an ADDICT! I said I wasn't going to run during my 2 WW (if I actually did O like I think I did) so yesterday I walked with the teachers after school which is our usual, but then I came home and couldn't turn myself away from my treadmill. I did "low" impact running and monitored my heartrate. Anyways, I may regret it later but damnit I can't do it.............

Oh yeah my temp this AM is 98.0 so looking at my chart I think I O'd on Mon. BUT FF still hasn't detected an O maybe after tomorrow a high temp will help it detect it.

hi ladies...i havent been in in a while.
so much has happened with me this week so far.
i could use someone, or more than ones help...
i went to my new ob/gyn the other day and he ordered a trans vag u/s and an internal u/s.
i had that today...

i'm soooooo confused!
i have a lining on my uterus.
i told the tech that i thought i O'd on monday/tuesday...she looked at my right ovary and said something about yes, and something something corpus luteum?
but then...she went to my left ovary and there is a GIANT dominant follie there??
now correct me if i i'm wrong...the corpus luteum is after i O right??
and a dominant follie is READY to O?
so does that mean i'm going to O AGAIN? or is that like waiting till next cycle?
Do follies stay that size after O waiting for the next round?
i'm sooooo confused. i dont know anymore of the details or anything, because she was very short with me, and i dont see my dr till friday for him to explain things further.

heh. this stuff is crazy.

can anyone help me out? i really have no idea about follies and the stages of the cycle and what they are and turn into.
i'm also worried now that my temp is so low and maybe i have low prog.

Stacey - that does sound confusing.

Stef - I hope you did O.

My temp stayed the same, so no implantation dip for me. The weird thing is today when I put in the new temp, my coverline lowered..that is so strange. I'm so disappointed though. I really thought I had a chance of ovulation with those early temps and now it looks bad again. I'm so sad...and so tired of being disappointed with my body.

Thanks for all of the reassurance, ladies! I'm just worried that I might be misinterpreting something since this is my first cycle charting. If I get AF in the next few days, I'll definitely feel better.

Deb- I thought for sure that you had O'd based on your chart. Maybe it's just a fluke that you're temps have been low the last couple of days. Will you get a P4 to check for ovulation?

Stef- If your temp is up again tomorrow, FF should detect ovulation. Looks like Monday was the day

Stacey- I'm not sure what to make of that information either. It seems that if you have a corpus luteum on one side, that you O'd and shouldn't have a dominant follicle on the other side. I'm interested to hear what your Dr. has to say about it all.

i'm interested to see if it helps - i feel rather weird about it (and I know DH does) but if it works, it works! (or if it helps, it helps!)

deb - i really thought you o'd too and it's odd that your temps would be up for so long and only now dropping. i'm interested to see what tomorrow brings!

stef - i wouldn't worry about the low impact running. since your body is used to it, i'm sure you're fine with it. wish i could say my body was used to it

laura32 - banish the thought of cigarettes! you're doing a good thing.

stacey - it could be that what the tech thought was a dominant follie was a cyst? i don't mean to knock all techs, but they don't always know what they are talking about. i had an u/s once where the tech told m that both my ovaries were on one side. uh, no, they weren't (and aren't). wait for your dr to interpret the u/s before you stress too much (easier said than done, right?)

kdw - it does get easier. sorta.

any news tummy?

hello to everyone! have a great day!

hi ladies- wow, AF is here in full force.it started yesterday afternoon. i wonder b/c of the amount this time if i might have had thin linings in the past. the flow is much greater. i go in for CD 3 b/w tomorrow and hopefully will start a new cycle. my RE will start me at 75IU.

deb- i am so sorry about the consecutive days of low temps. i was really hopeful that 150mg was the magic number for you. i know your DH is against injectables this time around, but maybe femara would work for you. my doc doesn't prescribe it, but it can be purchased online w/o a script. i know how you feel about being disappointed with your body.

keo- wow, that sounds so interesting. i'm curious to see if it'll work. twinging in the ovaries does sound promising!

tummy- thinking of you. i hope your appt. goes well today!

laura32- are you doing lots of snacking instead of smoking? since stopping BCP's i have gained about 10lbs and i have a soft belly too. stay away from those cigarettes.

stef- a little running should not hur at all. it is probably a good stress relief.

how is everyone else, doolin, pikachu, laura0621, heartcore? i hope i didn't miss anyone.

stacey- i was thinking that maybe it was a cyst too. normally, if a woman releases 2 eggs they are both realeased within 24 hours of each other.

kdwg- it looks like you O'd but i would have guessed either CD 10 or CD 15.

Relka - sorry again about the BFN. It's good that you already know your plan for next cycle. my AFs were always kooky after I took clomid - super heavy at first (like I was hemorraging!) then quickly over. Meds do bizarre things.

Keo - that is super interesting about having guilt. I also visualize my ovaries as one of two extremes: lumpy, overgrown, grotesque or shriveled, dying, ashy. I don't think I have guilt per se, b/c I more feel like this is all out of my control and my body is naturally one messed up, malfunctioning machine. Even at my healthiest, I never had regular cycles and always had acne and errant hair.

Stacey - that is just crazy confusing. I don't know how the two could coexist.

Deb - ((hugs))

Heartcore - Good luck!

My temp finally dropped today so I am waiting for AF. I think it's the PMS, but I am having a hard time dealing today. I just feel like my prospects are so bleak. I had a brief email volley with a friend who has a one year old. She's talking about how she wants to start a daycare business so she can always have her daughter at her side. Now, I completely understand where's she's coming from, but I find myself feeling so jealous and misinterpreting her tone as ... smug. I manage to steer clear of these feelings most of the time ... but today, I just feel like crapola. :-(

Deb – I don’t know how you feel about self-prescribing… but in addition to Relka’s idea, there is a clinic in Canada that uses femara in small doses along with clomid. They say they have had really good success with women that don’t respond on high doses of clomid alone. Here is an info sheet if you want to have a look: http://www.soft-infertility.com/docs/PICCLetrozol.pdf

I bought some femara from an internet pharmacy (I hope I don’t get yelled at, some people have strong opinions about doing this!), and might add it to my next cycle of clomid. Just another idea for you!

Keo – I sure hope you see some good things from the new treatment. It sounds like it can’t hurt…

Stef – I wish I was addicted to running!!! Maybe then I could get rid of the poochiness I’ve developed over the last year or so. Anyways, I also don’t think it will hurt you to do a little jogging. I know a girl who ran up to the 8 month mark in her pregnancy… then she pulled a groin muscle and was out of commission though, so THAT probably wasn’t such a good idea.

Relka – I’m glad AF came finally and you are able to move onto the next cycle.

Tummy - I can't wait to hear how your appointment went!

I’m still waiting for a “fertile” symbol on my OV watch. It’s supposed to tell me when I’m 4 days before ovulation, but I have got nothing yet. If I don’t get the signal in the next few days, I will be ovulating late - if at all. I don’t think I’m close yet… my CM is definitely not watery or egg whitey. I know I need to be patient, but I just hate the waiting part - I’m so not cut out for this infertility thing!
