My Mood: Points: 30,295.86 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 30,295.86 | Hope everyone had a good 4th! It was pretty quiet on here yesterday, so assume most ppl had plans.
Nebulous -- welcome! Do you O on your own at all?
Trying79 -- welcome to you, too! Do you know why your dr is staying with 50 mg of Clomid if it didn't make you O last time? It seems most will increase to 100 if 50 doesn't work... just curious.
Melissa -- so sorry about the BFN . I hope your spa treatment helped. Keeping with the Femara next time?
Jatomz -- has AF shown yet? HOpe she's not too awful to you...
Springtime -- wow, your transfer is so soon!!! Thinking good thoughts on this one!!
Deb -- How's the Provera treating you? Interesting about The Baby Lab. (kind of a terrible name, though!). I hope they run it again.
AHoff -- I still think it's hard to say with your chart... maybe today's temp will make things more clear.

I'm glad provera isn't causing you any problems. I don't remember how I reacted to provera when I took it way back, but I took prometrium for the first time, and I LOVED it! I just felt so good, had no bloating before AF etc. It was great.
And funny you mentioned doing clomid days 3-7... I was going to suggest that! I've decided I'm going to go ahead and try another clomid cycle too, even though the RE said not to. I figure, what can they expect when they make me wait 3 months in between appointments?? And, I'm going to try days 5-9 since 3-7 didn't work for me last time. So we are just swapping with each other
Good luck to you this cycle, I'm glad you are back in the game!

stef- i have been using preseed too b/c i need a little extra moisture anyway. i wasn't sure if that was as good as increasing one's own CM naturally, but it's probably fine.
deb- how much baby aspirin do you take per day? do you take it only before O? happy bday to your daughter!
melissa- sorry about your BFN. i hope your AF isn't too bad.
fred- thanks for the info. i think i'll take clomid at night too- sounds like a good plan.
i start clomid on wednesday and then thurs i leave for chicago for a long weekend with DH's family. i really hope i don't have too many side effects b/c that will be tough to deal with on this vacation. my SIL kinda drives me nuts anyway so i'm afraid i'll freak out and scream at her or something. that would be bad.
i hope everyone had a nice weekend! mine was good and a good break from thinking about TTC.

My Mood: Points: 690.02 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 690.02 | Tummy -- I missed your question earlier....
As long as I've been charting...I don't think I've O'd on my own. I ended BCP in Aug and the "cycle" lasted til Feb. Next was Feb-March, April-May (with mid-cycle spotting), and then 23 or 24 days (anov.) in June. Now I'm on CD 10 and my pattern looks like the last two cycles...so I'm not expecting too much in the O department....but still hoping that something happens.
I'm going to be out of town with DH from July 8-14...so maybe I'll get to report an O when I get back? We'll see. I'm not sure if I'll have internet access...which is pretty bad timing. But I suppose I can chart the old fashioned way
Hope you all have a great week! |

Points: 10,627.40 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 10,627.40 | hi ladies- just got back last night from punta cana. the vacation was great and much needed. i was able to think about TTC about 50% of the time instead of 90% of time. i did get AF on the 1st night of my vacation and it was sooo heavy that one day i had to change my tampon anywhere from every 1-2 hours. it hasn't been that heavy in awhile. oh well, i am on to a new cycle with little hope that this will happen w/o IVF. i'm on femara 7mg from CD3-7 and am using my OV watch again. i'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but i'm still preparing for IVF at the end of August. i'm a bit depressed though. it is officially the start of all our preggo friends summer/fall deliveries. i hope i can survive it. i feel so close to a breakdown, maybe the 6-8 eggs thing and the BFN really hit me harder than i thought.
i've seen the baby lab. it was a great show, but it should be a series. i agree a show on IF would be great b/c people do not understand it at all. melissa- i am so sorry about the BFN. i had been thinking of you and was praying for your BFP. ((((HUGS))))will you do femara next cycle? deb- happy birthday to your daughter! i hope your DH changes his mind about seeing the RE. you know you get preggo very easily with IVF. maybe he'll come around. ry- i take baby aspirin too. i take it through the entire cycle except for when i have AF. i used to take it after O, then i took it before O, but apparently taking it the entire cycle is good b/c it helps with bloodflow to the ovaries and uterus. tummy- how is the IVF cycle going? do you have any idea around when you will do egg retrieval etc. heartcore- i hope you are feeling better. i know this has been such a rollercoaster ride for you and i am so sorry. i hope things speed up an your FET is successful. jatomzmom- i hope you start AF soon. pikachu-i think it is a good idea to shake things up and move the dates of the clomid around. i hope it works. stef- how are you sweetie? Ahoff-i knew so little about TTC before i started. i think a show would be great. i laugh at myself now, thinking that all i needed to get preggo was to O. i naively thought i'd take some fertilit drugs, have sex and be on my way. springtime- oh i am so excited your FET is this week. i am praying for you!!!! kdwg- how are you? frederica- i only took clomid one cycle and my worst side effect was "craziness". I was a mad woman. it didn't work for me but it does for some cysters. trying79 and nebulous- welcome! trying79- my RE doesn't thinks clomid rarely works in cysters but is a necessary 1st step. i do think you should be on 100mg though. clomid didn't work for me.
hi stacey- intersting about the green tea. i know i read it can help with lowering testosterone, but i didn't know about the green tea. i am going to start drinking more of it. doolin- how are you? i hope you had a restful weekend. i am most nervous about starting IVF b/c i know it is the end of the line for a biological child. for me, i still don't know if my DH's sperm can even fertilize my eggs so in some ways IVF will be my answer to that basic question.

Points: 2,560.47 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,560.47 | fredricajoe - Glad you are feeling peaceful about your doc's protocol. Sometimes, that is all you can do. I have read in a few sources that doctors consider no Clomid symptoms a good thing because they have noticed that lots of symptoms went hand in hand with it not working. I know there are lots of women on both sides of the fence on this issue, but this is what I read.
Pika - Wow, I thought that at least the IF care was free in Canada, especially since it was so limited by long wait times! I had no idea that you were paying for it and having to wait so long. That really stinks! It is sad that infertility is considered a luxury (in both Canada and the US). It certainly does not feel that way when you desperately want to start your family (and therefore your life) and you simply cannot without medical intervention. And yes, please let us know how your Mom is doing.
Keo - Yes, I am also a slave to FF. It's toys with my emotions daily!
Tummy - I completely agree about a reality TV show about fertility treatments. I would be glued to it! I am very drawn to all of the Quintuplets and Sextuplets shows on TLC, and I LOVE the show Deliver Me, I think on Discovery Health. My hub always runs the other way when he hears me watching those shows...man cryptonite! I cannot believe your insurance. Are they not considering a ruptured tube an emergency? I was in the ER about three weeks ago with a high temps for what was probably a virus or food poisoning. I have not gotten any bills yet, but I have been afraid ever since because I do not trust insurance companies one bit. There is always some loophole that they hide in.
Rywaller - I usually take a baby aspirin a day all through my cycle (except AF) and on my Clomid cycles, took generic Mucinex pills (600-800 mg a day). The common Rob. dose is 200 mg, 3x a day, starting day 9 or 10 through ovulation, and get just the standard Rob, not DM or anything fancy. In my case, I produced absolutely NO CM and so Mucinex did not help loosen up any. Important to know that it does not help you make more, only loosens up what you already have, thereby making it better for baby making.
Heartcore- Thank you as well for the welcome. I hope your little get away made you feel a little more positive, but don't get down on yourself for feeling sad. You have been through a trauma and these things take a while sometimes before you consistently feel up and happy. Big, tight hugs to you.
Nebulous and Trying- Welcome!! - Yes, I have has success with acupuncture regulating my cycles a couple of years ago. Clomid did nothing for me. Femara has been the only thing that has produced any follicles for me.
Deb- Happy Birthday Hannah Elizabeth!
Rywaller - Exciting about getting started. Take deep breaths and count to ten before you start yelling. I felt a little more short with people, but not more than a little PMS.
Relka - Oh, so glad the DM was fantastic! I am excited to hear you are doing another Femara cycle in the meantime. Who knows, stranger things have happened. At least as a side effect, it will pass some time before the end of August, which we all know moves so slow when you are wishing for a baby. I know depression is inevitable and will creep in, but I am so sorry you are feeling on the edge. When I start thinking about my preggo friends and comparing myself to them, is when I really feel the pain of infertility. Please give yourself permission to have as much or as little contact with them as you can truly handle (baby showers, visits, etc.). Keep your eye on your own sanity and preserve all of your strength and joy for yourself and hub. You are going to need it in the coming months. Strong, rib crushing HUGGGGGGSSSSSS!
Jatomzmom - Yes, I would consider today CD1. Yeah for period. I know, silly, but when anything works the way it is supposed to, it is cause for celebration in my book
AFM - Woke up on July 4th at 5am with intense cramps and already heavy AF. This has been my first post O period in forever, and so it was a rough couple of days. Yesterday and today have been fine and she is almost gone, hopefully for 9 months. I had a few days of melancholy and a few wet eyes for a couple of seconds here and there, but nothing as strong as I have anticipated. I have made a pact with myself this month that when I start to feel anxious or angry or sad about infertility, I will close my eyes and picture a positive pregnancy test, and then a kicking baby inside me, and then labor pains, and then nursing a baby and try to actually feel the joy that these things would bring me. I am going to stay in this happy place all month. I start on a higher dose (can't remember and I have not picked it up yet) of Femara today, for five days this time and I start monitoring on CD 10. Again, very excited and feeling good about my chances for an O, and then a BFP!
Love and peace to you all!
