I'm back from vacation! I can't believe how much has happened in just a week.

Six: I am so thrilled for you!! Are you still in shock? I imagine it must be difficult for you and DH to keep the wonderful news to yourselves, but I understand why you would wait. How do you feel?

Sarah: Let us know when you'll be starting the clomid, and good luck this cycle.

Riverside: I'm sorry about the cancelled IUI, but I'm glad you tried "on your own." I can't help but think that your odds are still up there, given that you had ripe follies and timed your BD well. People have become pregnant under much stranger circumstances, right?

KBug: Thanks so much for starting a new thread. I love having the updated list of where everyone is ...And welcome to the 2ww! I'm so glad your IUI went well--you definitely deserved for it to go well after all you have been through lately. And it sounds like you have an excellent plan for taking care of your depression without resorting to prozac. (By the way, I only say that because KBug made it clear that prozac is not an option. I don't want anyone to think I actually have opinions about taking prozac, I do not know anything about this drug.)

I'm sorry I can't do more personals, I feel a little out of the loop! What is going on with everyone?

I am still in my 2ww. It helped to be away, relaxing on vacation, this last week. Now I'm home and fretting a little bit. I'll go to the RE on Sunday for my blood test. Sunday will be 12dpiui As always, I am debating whether to do a hpt before then...

Brooklyn- Welcome back!! I am glad ou had a nice and relaxing vacation. It is a great way to spend the 2ww. I always say I am not going to test and then, of course, I do, often at like 9/10 DPO. It is so hard not too - and I strongly encourage others to pick up my not bad/not good habit. :-)

Kbug - I am glad the IUI went well and an extra BD for good measure. Like Brooklyn - I am glad that you fond some alternates that you are comfortable with to take. This whole process and all the emotions that go with it can really take a toll. I am sure you are not alone. On a side note, I have a friend who tool 5HTP and really thought it helped her.

Adoption - Kbug, how is the process in Canada? I am not really familiar with it stateside but I do have several freinds who have adopted from China, Romania, and Guatemala. I think adoption is wonderful for both parties - lots of big hearts.

Six - I hope you are enjoying your secret!

How is everyone else?

I am on 1 DPO - woohoo! Oh Brooklyn, I did have the IUI. The Dr. just fore-warned me that it was low and therefore, chances were minimal. I am mostly banking on the BD the morning of O. Also, I worry that this was cycle number 2. I know I should not complain b/c clomid does seem to be working but that gives me only 4 more cycles - I just hate to have wasted one. Does that mkae sense?

Brooklyn - glad you had a good holiday. At least you are a week ahead of me in the dreaded 2ww. I know I will be buying an hpt (or 2 or 3) and test before.

Riverside - I understand not wanting to waste a cycle - none of us do! So much heartache and $$ go into each one. Let's hope it worked for you. As for adoption, I don't know a lot about it yet, but we'll start looking into it.

Brooklyn - have you tested?

Kbug - any good signs yet?

What ii everyone up to this weekend?

Hi Riverside, thanks for checking in. The board is slow these days!

I'm 10dpiui--still have not tested. 10dpiui seems too early, doesn't it? The funny thing is that by yesterday I had pretty much decided this wasn't going to be my cycle. I just didn't feel anything. And then last night I was having a hard time sleeping. I got up to read and I realized that my bbs were sore. They're still sore this morning and I feel crampy. But I guess it's hard to tell if these are the signs of AF or of that other thing we're all after.

I'm scheduled for a blood test at my doctor's this coming Sunday morning (that will be 12dpiui).

Hope everyone is doing well. Keep in touch!

Brooklyn - lots of people talk about feeling crampy when they get a BFP. I hope this is it for you. Only 2 more days to wait.

Riverside - maybe you'll be totally surprised and get a BFP! At any rate, the 2ww is a long one.

I don't have any signs and don't expect any. I'm wishing my temps would get higher than they are. They aren't as high as they usually are post o so I immediately worry my progesterone levels are low. There are way too many things to worry about.

We'll probably go canoing and swimming on Saturday and then DH and I have a few days of bush work and camping in a park west of us starting Sunday.

I have been having some computer problems this week so I haven't been able to check in. So many in the 2ww!! I think we are going to get lots of BFPs!!!

Brooklyn - Good luck on Sunday!

genie1 - Congrats with finishing school! What a great way to start your post-school life. Fingers crossed for your clomid cycle!

Sorry I don't have time for everybody today.
I'm on CD6 and have my last two Clomid (150) doses tonight and tomorrow night. I am sooo hoping the clomid works for me this cycle. I don't have an u/s until next Friday. Grow follies GROW!

Have a great weekend everyone.

kbug, I would love to be off on a trip like yours... over here it's cold and rainy - yesterday was apparently the coldest day in 13 years. You're right about having too many things to worry about... still, your low temps may be ok if they're stable. When are you going to use the hpt?

Genie, congratulations... are you looking for a job now?

Brooklyn, I wouldn't be able to resist doing a hpt before going to the dr... you have so much will power! good luck tomorrow.

Riverside, I think we all know how you feel about having a 'wasted cycle'... there's that sense that we have a finite no. of treatment options which we're ticking off one by one. But someone else said earlier on the thread that it's really about finding what works for YOU... and in the end it only takes one successful cycle! One thing I find really annoying is having long o-less cycles... it's just that much longer to wait until you can start again, because even if you induce af after a bfn, you're still a couple of weeks behind a 'normal' cycle.

I finally got af 5 days after finishing the provera... much longer than usual. I was beginning to think I had even more problems if I couldn't even get a withdrawal af! So I'll be starting clomid 50mg again today - I'm just a few days behind you, Melissa. Are you going to get a trigger shot? Does anyone know any way to improve your chance of o'ing on clomid with diet, supplements etc?

Re: adoption.... a lot of our friends and family have adopted children, mostly from overseas, and have had such wonderful experiences... we would be equally happy to adopt as to conceive but it would be impossible for us here in Australia because the regulations are so stringent... low age limits and citizenship/residency requirements which we don't meet. If anyone is thinking of it - go for it!!

Well the days are slowly ticking by and a little field work should help a bit. I guess I will use a hpt in a week or so (next Saturday or Sunday?). I have to wait until the Tuesday after for a blood test because the Monday is a holiday here.

Brooklyn - I hope I come back to a BFP from you! Good luck Sunday.

Sarah - glad AF finally came and you can start clomid. I hope it works for you. Long cycles can be so agonizing.

Melissa - I hope that clomid is working for you. Waiting until next Friday for an ultrasound must feel like forever.

Genie - great to hear from you again and big congrats on graduating! Here's to a good cycle with the clomid.

Have a great weekend all... I'll check in again on Wednesday.

Huge disappointment on this end. I had my blood test this morning and it was negative. My third cycle of injectables and my third negative. This one was harder to take, I feel very down. A lot of tears today.

DH and I are taking August off. We'll go back to the RE in September. We definitely need a break emotionally, and I think my body needs a break physically too from all the drugs.

We actually have had a trip planned for a while. We're going to France for 3 weeks, leaving this coming Wednesday. Of course we had hoped we would be pregnant when we left but clearly that's not the case. I'm glad we're going away, it will help clear my mind a little.

I hope everyone is well.

Brooklyn - I am so sorry! I know those are painful words to hear. This is such an emotionally draining process but I still think there is a lot of hope for you. Although you did not get BFP on injectibles, you did O on a regular basis - that is a big step toward BFP! I will be thinking of you today and if you do not check in before you go, have a safe and peaceful vacation. Going to France is the perfect escape for your mind and body.

Kbug - how is the 2ww? What is the Canadian holiday today?

Sarah - any s/e on the clomid? I do not know of any diet supplement help but know I have come across something an herb....if I think of it, I'll get back to you. Maybe search the TTC or the Clomid boards.

Genie - congratulations on finishing school! Very exciting.

Melissa - did they up you to 150 mg of clomid or is that the amount you took last time?

I know we have discussed this before but has anyone increased their Metformin and seen positive signs? I am on 1500 mg and have no s/e and thinking about upping to 2000mg - to help with cycle/O/egg quality. Anyone have any knowledge/experince?

Hi Girls-Mind if I join? DH and I are on a "no meds" cycle right now, and I actually think I may have ovulated on CD17, which puts me at 9dpo. I came off BCP in July 2003, and had no AF until I went to the doctor and took some Provera. We've had four failed rounds of Clomid. DH is now scheduled for a SA. If all comes back good we're going to try Met. I was wondering what everyone's experience has been with Met as a "thin" cyster?

My symptoms include annovulation, string-like pearls on the ovaries and some excess tummy weight. My bmi is 22 and all other levels are in order according to blood work in January and again this month. I've cut out all white foods, sugars and do Tae Bo daily and walk each day.

GL to all of you this month!!
