We all know how you feel and are in the same boat. I think the feelings cycle through sadness, anger, hope, fear, and back around over and over again.
Have you asked your doc about trying something besides Clomid? Acording to many sources, if you dont have a pregnancy within 3 tries, Clomid may not be the drug for you. There are other options that have been very successful for many people like Femara or injectibles.
Also, there are a lot of articles about Met being very useful and even more so for thin cysters. You can still continue taking the fertility meds, but add Met which may help in your next cycle or the ones down the line. Better to start now than decide in 3 months and then find yourself only just starting Met. If I were you, I would google or search on this site for Thin/or lean pcos and metforming. i foudn VERY useful information by doing that.
__________________ Dx April '09 -- Tried to restore cycle naturally on my own for 6 months, didnt work :-(
Hi everyone... I'm kind of a newbie here! ...been reading a lot of posts though for inspiration! I'm 29 yrs old, 5'1", 125lbs.. always had (what I consider) regular periods of 30-33 days, every single month. The one major symptom I have is lots of facial hair. Ew! (Laser hair removal is wonderful!) Anyway, my DH and I have been ttc for 8 months... when nothing was happening a few months ago, I saw my obgyn. She said most likely PCOS.. I have normal periods and am not overweight so I was really confused! But.. blood work showed normal thyroid, abnormal FSH/LH. Combo'd w/the infertility and facial hair, she dx me w/PCOS. My Dr also has PCOS so she's been aggressive w/starting treatment which is so nice! I'm currently on Metformin 1000mg, and just started this month on Clomid 50mg. Hoping for that BFP!
Sonny13 - your story sounds VERY similar to mine, including my specialist who has PCOS & states she conceived her children on met & clomid. I think our only differences are excessive hair & TTC length of time. I am 5'6" 110 lbs 29 yrs old. My MD believes I have a hx (prior to dx) of annovulation. However, it appears I am ovulating now. Its nice to meet someone in a similar boat as myself. Nice to meet you!

Hi ladies!!!
I've been a member for over a year, but usually read posts for inspiration. I'm 5'7" 130lbs. I'm annovulatory, have acne, and hair on my chinny chin chin (so sexy!). We've been TTC for over 2 years, the past 1 1/2 with dr's help. I've been on Clomid (never ovulated with it), did injectables with Gonal F and IUI (had my first pregnancy, but it was a chemical one and I lost it at 5 weeks). We tried Gonal F and IUI one more time and nothing. I just finished my first IVF. They took out 14 follies, 11 were eggs, 8 were mature enough, 5 fertilized, and they put two in. I did get pregnant, but when I went in for my beta, my HCG was really low, 13.6. They said it could be late implantation, but I knew it was bad news. I went in two days later and it had dropped to 9. So they took me off Progesterone (1 1/2 ml of Progesterone and 1 vaginal suppository). I go in on Tues to talk to the dr. about what's next. Still waiting to mc... but I know it'll happen any day. Ugh...
I find it's VERY frustrating being a thin cyster because weightloss seems to solve so many other women's problems, but we don't have the weight to lose. I feel so helpless at times and my dr. says there is really nothing I can do. As far as I know, I'm not IR, so I don't know if I should change my diet to an IR diet. Any ideas? Thanks for starting this thread, it's nice to know someone out there can understand what I'm going through.

Sonny13 & - fentonC - you girls seem to have very simliar stories. Sounds like you are both on the right track so hopefully it won't be long until they figure out how to get you that bfp!
BeeBee - I'm so sorry for all that you are going through. I am so scared about starting injectibles because I'm so afraid they will not work! I never responeded to Clomid or Femara! I hope that they will figure out a way for you to get bfp and keep it!!
You ladies come on over and join us, you will find much support!
