denverdani - sorry i should have clarified. I just stopped bcp and started femara on cd3-7, around cd12 is when i noticed the pinkish cm, but nothing since. I've having some symptoms, but not sure what's going on yet as i'm on cd22 and still waiting to poas!

Hello Sharky - of course us can jump on board. I am also hoping that the Met/Femara cocktail did it for me, but still a little too early to test! I have only tried clomid and after this round if no bfp i will be moving on to injectibles/iui. Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way!

ME TOO.

I'm 5'5" 125 lbs, diagnosed Feb 09.
I've ovulated ONCE in the last year since coming off bc pills. Other than that I don't get AF on my own. Provera alone doesn't even work; I have to take estrogen beforehand just to build a lining. I've been on Metformin 1500mg for 2 months now. It hasn't helped AF yet but I do feel better physically and mentally and I don't crave sweets like I used to. I'm starting a cocktail of Clomid, Estradiol and trigger this month. Tomorrow is my first time taking Clomid and DH and I are vacationing with BOTH our parents while I'm on it. I'm hoping I stay reasonably sane on it, although Provera makes me MEAN, so should be an interesting trip!

Gracie - seems a lot of girls have luck with the Femara, I hope you get that BFP this month!

Hey Girls hope you don't mind me jumping in here I am 5'2" 118 lbs. I am ttc#2. I have irregular cycles af does visit on her monthly but my cycles only last a day. I was successful at conceiving I had very irregualar cycles then I would only get one about every 4 months bcp helped regulate for a while. I did ttc for about 3 years. My doctor finally put me on met and clomid first month on the combo I became pregnant but m/c. After 6 rounds of clomid my dr wanted us to take a month break he wanted to do an hsg which was scheduled for Aug we took our break in July 03. I hadn't been feeling myself for a few days I thought I was just nervous about my upcoming appt. My now ex kept insisiting I was pregnant I told him there is no way. He wouldn't give up until I POAS finally I did I left it sit for a min and new it was negative well walked back in the bathroom to toss it in the trash looked down and 2 lines!!!! I almost had a heart attack. I had to take 7 more tests before I believed. Sorry for the long story. So to sum it up I conceived the month that I wasn't on any meds. This month was my first round of clomid. I should have o'd yesterday but I don't think I have. I don't temp. I have been doing OPK's but so far all neg. Good Morning Cysters! Thought I would jump in as well. TTC #1 since 4/08, Dx with PCOS and IR 7/09. 5'5, 116 lbs. No BCP for three years, had fairly regular cycles, a little long, but no eggs dropping

Now on 1500mg of Met, starting my 3rd month. Last month for the first time I had a "normal" OPK, I actually got a positive result for only one day on day 14 and then AF showed up on CD 26. I think something's working! Very excited!

I have also heard Femara works wonders - with less side effects. Good luck to you Gracie - keeping my fingers crossed!

Melly - welcome and I hope this is your month. Maybe the clomid want have any bad s/e and you will have a great vacation!

braysmom - wow your story is inspiring to know that you conceived without meds. I wish i could get lucky like that, you never know! Good luck to you and i hope your ttc journey is short this time around!

Georgia - well it looks like you are on the right track! That's awesome, hope you get that bfp very soon!

afm - i tested today (14dpo) if i did ovulate (i'm not charting or taking opk) and got bfn. This is our first month back ttc after such a long break so I wasn't too optimistic about it happening that fast for us! I hope af comes soon so i'll know the femara did something, then i'll be moving on to my HSG test then possibly injects/iui!

I am 32 recently married and ttc for the 1st time. Dignosed with PCOS (maybe LOCAH) in 1999. I am 5'3" 112lbs. I just came off bcp after 8 years and within a week had sore nipples and cramps which got me excited (too easy!) - but I guess that is just a sign of coming off the bcp - hormones going back to being messed up. : (

I am worried about symptoms returning. Yasmin was a heaven sent for me, took care of all my symptoms.

I am on no medication. I eat healthy and exercise but will step it up by reducing carbs and extra running now.

I always used to get my period regular and heavy not sure what is going to happen now after all those years on the pill. I don't know if I ever ovulated. I have heard some women with PCOS are thin and ovulate. Hopefully that is me. I am a stress case though so any chances I have I probably will ruin with stress.

Pink Nails - Hey and welcome to our little group! I hope your ttc journey is short. I know lots of thin cysters who do ovulate on their own. I myself am not sure I ever have, hopefully my RE will fix that soon though! Hang in there and keep us posted on your progress!

Hi all! I am 5'9" and 135 lbs. DH and I have been trying for over a year, but was just diagnosed with PCOS after going to my RE. Have tried clomid, then femara and trigger, but nothing worked. Found out DH has some problems too. I am on CD 5 and finally getting to try again after a few months of testing. On a monitored cycle with Femara (5 days)then follistim every other day (3 days of shots) an ultrasound on day CD11 to check follies and a trigger shot when needed then an IUI since DH has problems too. Did not think I had PCOS since I am not overweight, so boy was I suprised to find that out!

Hello!

I am 5'1" (barely!) and currently 113lbs. I was diagnosed 7 years ago, and for the past year just started getting periods due to natural supplements (vitex angus castus, maca root, and dong quai)...but they are 40days apart. Hubby and I have been really trying for 2years, but havent used any protection for over 4years...and nothing.

Going to a specialist next month to get on some meds...cause my heart is aching to have a baby...or two

I am 26 and have been TTC for just over 2 years now. I am 5'8" and 130lbs.. so very thin for my height. I am on my 6th round of Femara. First 3 months were doubled with Spironolactone.. but doc took me off of it because it whacked out my periods. I have never gotten a positive ovulation test until this month so I gained a little bit of hope. It was on day 23? Has anyone else ovulated that late on Femara?

kbeggs - hello and welcome! I'm sorry you haven't had any luck with any of the meds you have tried, hopefully this next cycle w/iui will be the one for you. Be sure and keep me updated on the whole process as I will be heading in this direction after this cycle!!

Smartbaby - hello, it sucks to not have normal cycles as I know all too well! I'm not sure I have ever ovulated. I kind-of thought i had this month, but still no sign of af and bfn on the last test, so not sure the femara worked at all. Hope your ttc journey is short as I know how you feel about your heart aching for a baby as mine has been also!

LizHam10 - hello to you! I know how it is to learn all the abbreviations and know what everyone is talking about. Be sure & check out the sticky on the abbrevations and it helps a bunch! I'm not sure i've ever ovulated so can't help in that department, but i have read many who have ovulated late on it! You should check at the Femara Buddies thread, lots of useful info. there!

afm - just hanging in there waiting on af to show. It's cd28 and no sign yet, but i'm never regular so who knows! This was my first month of the bcp and first month on femara so guess i'll wait a few more days before contacting RE.

Hi all! Good luck with the process hopefully we will all find the medication combo that works for us--and soon! I was wondering what test is done for insulin resistance. I would like to know if I have that or not since I see some thin cysters have it and some do not. Thanks!

I'm not sure there is just one certain test for it! I did a fasting glucose test and that's all i have done. I am not IR. I've heard sometimes it's hard to tell in thin cysters, but my obgyn thinks the fasting glucose is the best way to check for IR!

Hello ...i have been ttc for a little over a year.with PCOS..i am 32, 5'6 and 137 lbs...just had a laparascopy on the 5th so am recovering from that...doc found endo on my uterus - which he burned off (eek makes me cringe), did ovarian drilling, checked tubes - they were ok....we are due to start ivf in a couple of months time..just wanted to wish ya'll luck
