Hey Sharky! I tested today cd29, bfn and still no sign of af! If af doesn't come by Monday i'll be calling my RE for a prescription of prometrium, then hopefully will schedule my HSG test and get that over with! Thanks for asking! How is the 2ww going, when are you gonna test? I'm praying for you!!

Oh man! I was really hoping for better news from you.
My plan is to test tomorrow morning. I have the day off and my dh will be at work. So should there be a bfn, I can wail in peace. That is if I can manage to not wake up at 4am and pee like I've been doing the last couple of mornings. No way I'm poas at that hour. And I've convinced myself that I must use FMU. ...yep i need help! lol
Our anniversary is Monday, but we're celebrating Sat night. So I just want to know one way or the other so I can really enjoy a glass of wine with my dinner.

I'm gonna keep praying for you...you never know...you might just be one of those girls who don't get the bfp right away!

Hi guys...new to this site, but figured I would jump on in. My dh and I have been ttc for the past 6 months which have been incredibly difficult because I am never showing any signs of O. I have been charting since Feb. and only have 1 chart that is showing a temp shift (that cycle I also got a peak reading on my cbfm...the only time). This leads me to think that I am anovulatory. I have very irregular cycles. My OB said she would try me on clomid after I get some of the tests done. She did not look at my charts to confirm that I was anovulatory. She just said that if af is coming, then I am ovulating. There is definitely a clear difference between af when I ovulate and af when I don't(much much lighter)! Anyway, I had some bloodwork done which came out normal, but cysts were found, which leads my dr. to think between the irregular cycles and the cysts that I have PCOS, even though I am not overweight. She is referring to my OB for a 2nd opinion. Hoping to have some type of an answer! This time has just been incredibly confusing.

Sharky - I was hoping too, but my RE wasn't too optimistic about the femara, he really thinks that injects/iui will be the key for me, so hopefully he knows what's best! Just wish af would hurry up and get here so I could move forward! Have fun celebrating your anniversary, ours was September 1st (9 years) and we went to Tunica, MS to do a little gambling, lol! Didn't have much money, but we had a good time relaxing and eating some good food! Be sure and let me know about your results tomorrow! I'm sending a little prayer up for you tonight!!

SoCalGrl - welcome to the group! I am annovulatory also and have very irregular cycles. They confirmed my PCOS with an u/s when they found the pearl-like cysts on both of my ovaries. I am thin and I am not IR. We ttc for about 2 years at first, then took about a 5 year break and just started ttc again this cycle, so hoping my journey won't be long...Good luck to you and keep us updated on what you find out!

holy moly ladies...glad to see you all here...i'm about 5'9", 160. i'm finally starting to admit to myself that i'm TTC. i guess i just thought it would happen when i wanted it to. i've been using opks for a couple months and half the time i think my eyes are playing tricks on me...plus i'm using those internet cheapies so i can test multiple times a day. so i start out motivated at the beginning of a cycle with the temping and the testing and the cycle gets so outta wack, i fall off the charting wagon. i've been on met for a year now and just ditched the bcp last november to just see "what if"...i mean, who's getting younger, right? i should've had AF this week according to my chart...experienced a little spotting last week and then became obsessed with "implantation bleeding" searches. i'm laying low now and expecting family in town next week. i figure i'll POAS next week then we'll go from there. sometimes POAS scares AF into a visit...perhaps the anticipation stresses me out. appt. with the dr. in nov. and probably going to ask for clomid, which he suggested when i'm ready. just visited a friend with a new baby and i guess, I'M READY.

Hello sweet-mimi - glad you found us! I am waiting on af too, it's just so stubborn. I just stopped bcp this past month & started femara immediately, but it was a bust obviously! Still waiting on af and getting very impatient!! Just wanted to say welcome and hope you get your bfp very soon.

It's been an interesting couple of days for me....as you know I decided to test Friday morning...it'd be around 13dpiui and figured it would be okay. So I took it and it was . I threw it on the counter and went back to bed. I got up later and went about my business...well a few hours later went back to the bathroom and looked at it again. There was an ever so faint 2nd line! I thought no way...cheap $#*?#$ dollar store test...probably an evap line. But I guess I'll test again tomorrow morning just in case. God has succeeded...he has taught me patience!
Long story short I took a fancy digital one this morning I've been saving and it was positive!!!! I'm trying to contain myself until tonight...we're celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary....and I can't think of a better gift! We'll see if I can make it.

For you Gracie...
thank you so much for your prayers for me. I'll be praying just as hard for you!

Thanks girls! I'm still in shock. I think I'll really believe it when I get a call from my RE saying yep you're pregnant. I assume they'll do a test anyway...this is all so new!
I've made it this far without telling my husband...still planning on surprising him this evening.

Gracie, I'm sure you'll be preggers by Christmas! You know I'm all for the Met/Femara combo! I've been on Met for 3 full months now and noticed a big change in my ovaries on my last CD13 ultrasound....all those little "pearls" were gone! I've also read it can take that long to get the poor eggs, from all the extra hormones, out of your system. What a Christmas present that will be for you, of course I hope it happens sooner!

I've always had normal body weight except for a period of 3 years where I just ballooned 30 lbs. I've since lost 20 lbs of it so I'm almost back to what I used to weigh. I have some facial hair, but little enough to just pluck out.

My doctor wants to start me on metformin to see if that helps, even though clomid has been working for me. Anyone else taking metformin? Does that help?

I've also been following a strict no refined sugar, no starch (bread, rice, noodles, potatoes, etc) diet. That has helped me to drop my recently gained weight.
I'm TTC#1 and I'm having problems losing my recently gained 25 pounds. I work out and I'm on a gluten free diet and I haven't lost a pound! Please help!

Angry New to this!

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site but very experienced with PCOS. I was diagnosed over 12 years ago when I was 12. I've always been thin up until I turned 23 when I started gaining weight. I've gained about 25 pounds and I can't seem to lose it no matter what I try. I've stopped all caffine, alcohol, gluten (allergy) and I try to eat organic as much as possible. I exercise and play volleyball weekly! I still can't lose this weight!!!
I'm married to the most wonderful man who is very supportive! We have been trying to conceive for about 3 1/2 years with absolutely no success! I've tried 2 rounds of Clomid and nothing. I started taking natural progestrone 2 months ago and my doctor said that was all I needed to conceive! Still nothing!
I'm so frustrated and could use any advice that you can give me!

wishin4one - i'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. I have gained some weight in the last couple of years, I was always like stick thin, but now i've got some meat on my bones, lol! I'm still normal weight, but i'm sorry to say I don't exercise as regular as i should and I sure don't eat that healthy. I have cut back on my sugar and have been avoiding caffeine and fried foods, but I don't seem to lose or gain any right now, just kind-of stuck in the middle range!

I too did not respond to clomid, but i never heard of just taking natural progestrone to help get pg, have you been to a specialist? If not, i would definitely see one, because I'm not too sure about that! I took prometrium to bring on af for over 2 years and also tried the natural progestrone, but it didn't seem to help. I know some people are given progestrone during the early stages of pregnancy or sometimes in addition to different types of fertility drugs, but maybe i'm wrong. I do hope your journey ends with a bfp very soon for you, as I and many of us here know how hard it is to wait and go each cycle with bfn! Good luck to you and glad you joined us!

For the last two weeks I've been researching every single day- I know I'm IR so am trying not to end up like the rest of my diabetic family. I would seriously see what you think of myo-inositol- or even d-chiro-inositol. I've seen several cysters mention that when they started taking myo-inositol they ovulated almost right away. They've done research studies where like 20 out of 22 women started ovulating again after taking it for only 6 weeks. Please look around in the forums! Herbsgirl is taking both and she's seeing great successes!
