Default Thin Endometrium Question

I posted this as an update to my other post, but got no response so I'll ask again. Had my first RE appointment yesterday with vaginal ultrasound. He showed me my polycystic ovaries but didn't elaborate, then he said that my endometrial lining looked thin. He said that I must have ovulated already this cycle (at least a week early for me) or that I haven't ovulated in a long time (which he said I probably have since I've had pretty regular cycles). So everything I can find online says that the lining continues to thicken until AF. So what did he mean? Why would it thin after ovulation? So confused! And I'm sure I haven't ovulated yet!

I'm not sure what he meant. I have a thin lining so I have to take an Estrogen supplement up until ovulation. From what I understand (and the 100's of u/s that I've had) the lining is thicker after ovulation. I would think if your lining is thin that you haven't ovulated and aren't close to ovulation.

Thanks for the response! I think I might call the nurse to clarify - I can't find anything online that explains what he was saying.

I heard back from the nurse, and she didn't understand either. She said that the thickness is 9 which is right where they want it to be. She said there is a good chance that I will still ovulate this month. Maybe the Dr. meant to day thick instead of thin?

A thickness of 9 is GREAT! My lining 7 DPO was 10.1 on Wednesday, which my RE thinks was amazing. Of course, I am doing a progesterone supplement, but it is working! ( is not thin at all.

I am learning so much. The Dr. must have meant to say thick instead of thin. Sometimes I think Drs. try too hard to put everything in laymans terms when I want all the scientific details!
