hsuter - I'm not sure where in Ohio you are from, but it's near Cincinnati at the Princeton Middle School, Springdale. It happens twice a year, spring and fall, and the ladies said they were hoping to get the same location for this fall. I'm sure there are other multiple group sales throughout Ohio though if you do not live near Cincinnati.

Evyn - Free cloths are free cloths, and besides I find it's rare to run across ugly little girl clothes! I'm so excited though for you Evyn that you are having a little girl! I'm glad you found out early! I kinda had a feeling about you having a little girl!

I thought it was a boy for SURE. Im so beyond thrilled that it is a girl though.

My mom said some of the outfits have "smocking"....not sure that is my style, but like you said---free outfits.

Bonding at BabiesRUs

A lady and I are standing in the aisle looking at things at BabiesRUs and a "stupid" sales woman comes up and starts helping us.
The sales lady goes on and on about how she's pregnant AGAIN, after only being off the pill for 3 weeks...she was just born to pregnant all the time...she just looks at her husband and shes pregnant...etc. etc.
The lady standing next to me just flashes over at her and says, well if only all of us could be so lucky as to have your problem. My face lights up and I look at her and give her a big smile and a nod. The sales lady is STILL going on and on about how all the women in her family have 5 or 6 kids each blah blah....
The nice lady and I start our own conversation about what it took for us to get pregnant. Me 2 years, her 5 years. While the sales lady is still going on I look over at her roll my eyes and stick my tongue out (I'm 5 years old I swear). The nice lady and I laugh it up and bond.
We talked all about how much we hate people like our sales lady and how people can be so naive and stupid. Sales lady is still talking, but to herself...me and my new friend had already walked away.

thought I'd share...

Refrain--glad little girl has caught up! That's so lame how the high risk doc treated you. I mean, really, even IF you went there of your own accord, you're paying the doctor for their service and expertise and she should be willing to at least be nicer to you.

So, I think I'm sick again I have a sore throat and feel chest congestion. Boo. Hopefully it's just allergies and will go away soon, but you'd think that with all the rain we're having the allergens would have been washed away and I'd be fine.

Oh, and my wedding ring was almost too tight to get off last night. I could barely squeeze it on this morning so I took it off in case it got tighter.

Refrain - love that story. It's so nice to meet people that have been through the same struggle. Especially in babies r us, that's fun. Going through this ttc battle has really taught me to keep my mouth shut, you never know what someone is going through!

My m/s has really improved over the last week, I'm super happy about it, I hope it tapers off completely.

Evyn - I am not really sure what "smocking" is....in fact I don't blame you ... I'm a little scared! I kid, I am sure they are cute outfits!

refrain - Ah, I hate people like that! I had one at work to, she just happens up pregnant right before I left on leave! And she just laughed how she could get pregnant at a drop of a hat..... I was like, "b*tch". Oh well, at least you made a friend!

Sheepie - That totally sucks! I swear you need to stay away from the sickies out there! I feel like you are always getting something or getting over something!

rose - Glad to hear the m/s is getting better!

So my feet are starting to swell! I noticed it yesterday after we went for a short trip to the grocery store. DH told me to just keep my feet up and do nothing all day, but it's just to hard. They looked fine before I took a shower, then afterwards they were puffy. Oh well. At least I am not working, so hopefully it doesn't get to bad.

Refrain: Glad you were able to at least make a friend through the Babies R Us spree. The sales lady really shouldn't be talking about herself unless someone asks. How rude.

Sheepie: Sorry you're feeling sick again. I hope you feel better! Sorry the wedding ring had to go back into the box. When that happened to my SIL, she went to Wal-Mart and bought an inexpensive gold band a few sizes bigger to wear the remainder of her pregnancy.

Evyn: I have a feeling you're baby is going to be well-dressed.

Auturn: Smocking is a fine, sometimes colored elastic that is usually found in the torso of girls' sun dresses and shirts. Sorry to hear about your feet swelling. Take it easy!

We had a somewhat uneventful weekend. Babysat for my niece and nephew Friday evening and it was fun for DH and I to "play house" and imagine what it will be like with our own little one.

Started feeling fat this weekend. Very few of my clothes now fit around the waist. The Bella Band helps, but this in-between stage is uncomfortable. I kept asking DH yesterday if I looked fat. Thankfully, he said no.

Hello Ladies! Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I'm feeling pretty good right now, just have some stretchy pains...like everything inside me is stretching!

refrain: I'm sorry you are sick! That sounds like a nasty cold/sinus infection.

aturnbug: Is it bad when your feet swell? Is it something one should worry about? I've just always thought it was something that happens when you get pregnant, but if it's dangerous I'm sure glad I'm finding out now!

HRTinAZ: Congratulations on your BFP!!!

Sheepiegirl: I'm sorry you are not feeling well. When did your wedding ring start fitting snug? I've been waiting for that to happen and nothing has happened yet!

bobbysgirl: I'm in the inbetween phase too! It's so annoying. I just feel chubby not pregnant. I need to buy a bella band because right now I'm using a rubber band and my shirts ride up so you can see I have my pants unbuttoned! I was sure I would be showing a little more by now, but I guess with first pregnancies, you never can tell.

dreebee - I do not think you have to worry to much about the swelling, I am going to let the doctor know about it next visit. Besides it's not that bad, and since I'm off of work I just sit around most the day anyway.

Andrea--my wedding ring started to not fit yesterday! lol... All my friends couldn't wear theirs a lot earlier than me. And maybe it's just the humidity that's doing it. It's been super rainy here.

Really swelling up isn't a good thing, but yes, some regular swelling is to be expected. Quick onset swelling, though, can be a sign on preeclampsia, so just something to watch out for.

I thought I would be showing a lot sooner than I actually was--people didn't start coming up to me and asking about me being pg until I was in the upper 20 weeks...

Drebee & bobbysgirl – Check this out! I got one when I was pg with #1 and I’m so ready to bust it out again! LOL

Refrain - I love the BRU bonding - that's awesome!

Hi to everyone else and welcome to the newbies! Sorry I couldn't keep up with personals this time but glad to hear everyone is doing well.

I went to my intvw on Friday and decided it's not a good fit. The job itself is something I'd be really good at, but the team isn't as fun & friendly as I'd like and it's a high stress job so IMO you need a lighter mood. The big issue though is that I'd likely be working 45+ hrs a week, staying late at a moment's notice (sometimes till 6, sometimes even later) and possibly coming in at 7 from time to time to set up for a morning meeting. Since the hours are so unpredictable - and it's just expected not "do you mind staying late" - I didn't think it was a good fit. Especially since I'll have a newborn & a 2yo at home soon. There'll be enough stress at home, without adding an unpredictable work schedule and a high-stress job on top of it. Too bad the money was good... But I just don't think I could put a price on my sanity & my family time, ya know?

I have two more intvws scheduled on Wed. And my BFF told me there's an opening in her dept and it sounds like a job I would really love. The pay isn't as high as I'd hoped, so I'm holding out hope that one of the ones this week works out. If not, I feel like that one is a good back up opportunity. Ugh, job searching is so stressful!

Oh, and I have another pg question. Do any of you get a sharp shooting pain in your breast and/or nipple? I had horrible shooting pains in my right boob all day yesterday. I guess I'm assuming it's normal growth & stuff but it HURT! I hope that doesn't happen again.
